Hi, I have a wedding set that I would like to try and sell. The "gold buyers" will only offer to pay for the gold, but it has a beautiful diamond in it. All I know about it is that it was purchased in 1964. It is a Keepsake diamond, miner's cut or european cut, with a small table. It is only a 1/4 carat diamond, but I think it is very pretty. I would hate to sell the set for just the price of the gold. Can anyone offer advice? I wasn't able to attach a photo, but I can supply one if needed. I just want a basic idea of whether this diamond is worth keeping, or looking for a collector, or if I should just get what I can for it. Thank you for your help. |

No advice to offer except that you may have some luck with ebay instead of the gold buyers. I was specifically looking for that size and cut a few months ago and bought one for $300. Depending on the color/clarity and setting, you might expect to get around that much.
