Anybody familiar with this laser inscription?

msmanolo Rough Rock Total Posts: 9 Last Post: 6/16/2009 Member Since: 8/17/2003	Hello all, I've got a diamond that has a laser inscription on the girdle, it reads "T 26117845". Does anybody know what the "T" stands for? TIA for any help!

The ring was originally purchased from a now defunct local jeweler that sold it without any paperwork and I suspect the stone was previously owned before it came to them.

That would be my first guess. Second guess would be an in-store inventory numbering system laser inscribed on the girdle, although this would be much more unusual than a lab report number inscribed.
