                                                   Gurhan Flake Earrings

Due to a long series of events into which I will not take you, the earrings to which I referred in this thread are now in my ears for the very first time!  I did not get to open the box (which arrived in Connecticut many months ago) until today! I was absolutely overwhelmed from the second that I managed to get the packaging off the jeweler's box! (And I will post pictures later when I have more time!)

The Pearlman's box in which the earrings arrived was simply gorgeous!  I mean, it was elegant! I have bought jewelry from Bill before, but this box was exquisite!

And my earrings were heavenly!  Not only were they beautiful to look at, but they slipped into my ears like silk!  They feel good!  I had one bad experience with a Gurhan item in the past and I did not hesitate to post about it, so I would not be raving about these earrings if I didn't mean it.

Thank you Bill and Jason.  And thank you for the gift card.  I had no idea that you had sent it or I would have thanked you much eariler!

This is a detail from the earrings.  It is (obviously) the ear hook.  Even the ear hook is beautiifully executed in 24K gold.

This is another detail.  It is a close-up of the top of the earring and shows how it is constructed.

Here are the earrings together.  Linda, thank you for asking for ear shots.  Maybe at some point I will be able to get help taking a picture of myself.  Right now I can only do so with a heavy, bulky, huge videocamera that gets in my way.  :-)

Deb, they really are so pretty, from top to bottom, including the hook!

Nice box too.

Are they heavy?

HI:

They are organic in appearance, yet fanciful.....reminded of movement of leaves in a tree.....however the reflection of gold would be like the sun hitting the leaves and rather dramatic....utterly devine!

cheers--Sharon

Are they heavy?

Hi, Ellen :-).  No, they are not heavy!  They are very, very comfortable, but they are not so light as to give the impression that there is no gold in them!  They feel "serious", yet light!  Kind of like a well done piece of gnocchi or a dumpling that is well cooked so that it is substantial, but not leaden ;-).

OK, OK...I give up! I'll try to get some ear shots when I get back to Virginia.  (I am in Connecticut for my niece's 21 st birthday party.)  If I can't get someone to take a photo of them on me, I'll ask my daughter to model them! Thank you, Michelle and Linda, for your interest in my earrngs.  It is very kind of you to pursue me.  It make me feel very good!!!

Hugs,
Deb
