Has anyone stayed there...? If so, did you like it? We're making reservations and I wanted to see if any of my PS pals had ever stayed there. :)

Thanks!!

Yes, I have, once, and FI multiple times. He and his family love that hotel to pieces, mostly because of the lush, nicely walkable gardens and because it's designed by FLW. I was there for a conference and stayed mostly inside, and I have to say the hotel itself does little for me, personally -- I found it too dark inside -- it reminded me of a ski lodge much more than a hotel I would expect in Arizona.

Have you considered the Phoenician? (Not sure how rates would compare -- might be a lot higher, or they might be very similar.) I LOVE that hotel. The newer rooms are very luxurious and I am still in love with the spa bath amenities years later.

I stayed there a long time ago, and agree that the Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is interesting to look at, but not my personal preference when it comes to the rooms. They are dark, dark, dark. Actually so is the lobby if I remember correctly. I don't know if there are newer wings, but if so, I'd probably look at those first for rooms. I remember the food being quite good though.

Well, we decided not to stay there.. the guest reviews on Hotels.com are not all so favorable.. as a matter of fact, sadly, they repeat the same problems and that's not good. Apparently they fee the crap out of you, its $12 per day to SELF PARK and $28 per day resort fee.. What?!!! lol Please. Ok, so we wont stay there.. how horribly frustrating. Thanks for the responses.. :)
