Okay I am REALLY bored at work today...everyone is in Vegas at CES and us here in Internet Marketing never get to go because...we're internet! Ahh to be back in the Events department. God I never thought I would say that.

Anyhow, onto diamond business!

We talk alot about custom here on Pricescope, many of us have had pieces replicated or want to. Post pictures of some items that you have come across (because we ALL save them to a special folder on our hard drive right?), that you have in mind for replication, or if you have even seen a piece somewhere and thought, wow that would look great with H&A stones or similar.

I started thinking about this because we already have my engagement ring which was somewhat inspired by Michael B settings then further by our jeweler's wife's ring. Then my 10 stone which is a dream right now..but you never know. But then I also have been kicking ideas around for replicating a few Tiffany pieces with ACA melee...yummy. Of course that's after I get my fill of soltaires and want to go for the fashion look.

Great thread! Here is one... more to come!

I would love this done with a round stone - but what the heck kind of a wedding band would match it?

This is probably my favorite so far...I love this look! Can you believe the Tiffany version only has .12c and it is $1950? HAH! I would probably double that ctw if not more and still get it for cheaper.

Would also love this Leon Mege design with a round or cushion-cut diamond!

This one is another one I really like...it's really not my style, too deco looking for me..but for whatever reason I really like it! It's got .52c and is $1950 in platinum...again too expensive.

If I replicated using .01c for small stones, .03c for slightly larger and then .15c for the center stone, the stones themselves would be around $1000, and the pendant work about $500, chain about $150. Total about $1650 for a total of .87c.  Ahh sweet replica.

As long as we're doing necklaces...
This would look amazing with the first ring!

Can't forget one of my FAVORITES. I love the iciness of the stones against the blue of the aquamarine. Don't think I'd make mine quite so HUGE, but I love the contrast and the diamond side work.

Not a fan of replicating pieces-it never seems to work properly... Buying the stones and designing the piece is what jewelry is about for me.

There are two hugely different rings I hapened to admire lately for how they make use of the shape of the stones:

ONE

and

TWO

and there are plenty of pieces I hold dear in the back of my mind, which would not save me much if I had them replicated, such as the one below:

This would be another fun Tiffany necklace. The prices of original tiffany stuff nearly KILLS me! I can't believe how ***TINY*** the diamonds are in these 2-3,000 dollar items. . .it would be fun making a whole series of necklaces with bigger H&A stones for half the price

Oh! Michelle I was eyeing those Leon Mege studs-on-leverbacks the other day!!!!!!!!!! They are just heavenly...And I have slightly high piercing on my ears (about 1/3 inch of ear below the hole) so this would give me the "dangling from the lobe' look I love..Hmmm...maybe that picture needs to fall into my husband's hands for those "studs" I want at Christmas (but I'd have my jeweler make a likeness of them--save some $)

Yummy...

Okay...I have to find a picture of my dream piece (studs were #2)... my dream three stone...stay tuned!

Jennifer,

LOL - Yeah, my husband needs to accidently run across these earrings too! I love them so much. I didn't realize until after I got my diamond studs that my right earlob piercing isn't exactly perfect, SOOOO, dangling earrings would NICELY solve this problem But, yeah, I'm totally dreaming here. I may end up with bigger studs soon (w/in the next year), but, I doubt the LM, or even a replica pair, will be in our budget.

My husband has about ten different plans set up for our future house project(s) so my next couple jewelery items will be more restrained.
