Obviously you all know that I had my LIWdar up, based on my previous thread. That was my ONE serious LIW panic attack, and I was totally spot on! So we went out to dinner. FF's laptop broke today, so I kept telling him we shouldn't spend a lot of money at dinner since we had to pay like 600 dollars to replace it. He was like "Nah, we're going away for the weekend, lets start our vacation!" So we went to dinner... it was not a special dinner... just a normal dinner. Nothing fancy. We ate pretty fast, and then walked around for a bit. We stopped in at Moosejaw (a outdoor outfitting store) and I was just trying on sweatpants and FF is just sitting there. I kept noticing he was checking the time. I figured he was just bored, but still was thinking something might be up. After Moosejaw, we walk over to La Dolce Vita. Its a really nice dessert/wine/cigar bar. There is a private room down there that FF and I really wanted to have our reception in, and we had practically planned to have it there. We sat down in another area, and FF was saying that he wanted to go check out the room. The waiter came over to us, and FF was like... hardly even paying attention. The waiter talked to him and he didnt even answer. LOL. He was just NOT himself, and I kind of figured something was up. Apparently the manager stood behind me, and signaled to jim to go to the bathroom. The manager met him in the bathroom and told him he'd cough loudly when everything was "set" Then Jim comes back and sits down with me. I have no idea whats going on. I stand up, go to the bathroom, and come back hoping to order dessert. Then he says "C'mon... lets go check out the room where we want to get engaged. Its completely dark walking up to it. I open the door and I see one tiramisu with a candle in it. I go in, and sit down. He pulls out the ring, gets down on one knee. I start crying, and he asks me if I will marry him! I said yes, and we cried and smiled. I couldn't even eat the damn tiramisu!! My stomach was in knots! He did such a phenomenal job with the whole thing. The ring is GORGEOUS. I could not have asked for more. He wants to get married this fall! I'm so overwhelmingly happy!
