Knowing full well there may be consequences to your action, but knowing how satisfying it might be?

I am having some bad thoughts right now, nothing evil, but I don't know if I could live with the decision to follow through with it... I mean, the opportunity hasn't even presented itself, so my taking action on it isn't relelvent at this point.

I am just so happy that no matter what, nobody can hear my thoughts and I can think what I want and nobody knows...

care to expound??

I think we've all had unnecessary thoughts of malice, it's if you follow through on those thoughts that you need to be concerned with.

I've had 'public relations' in some pretty terrifyingly exciting locations. Looking back I shouldn't have done it, I probably wouldn't do it again, but it is pretty darn satisfying to know it has been done.

Hmm SP, are you going to leave us hanging? What falls under the category of terrifyingly exciting?

And I wonder what Elegant has up her sleeve?

I think it's completely normal to be tempted by "bad behavior" so long as it isn't something evil as you call it!

My favorite type of bad!!

I'm often tempted to be bad, little pranks mostly, nothing too bad.

Hmmm... DF - does cheating on YOUR wife count as bad or horrible - we aren't talking about describing the mess she will make of you after she finds out either... Although my SO is ticking me off right now...

I know what you're alluding to, and in my opinion "cheating" does not apply in an open relationship ("cheating" implies deception)

I think I want to hear everyone elses evil thoughts...but it does bring to light what peoplethink as being just bad and what others think may be terrible or malicious!  Some people see cheating as just bad - but others think it is outrageously horrible - especially if you have been with someone for 16 years...

Horrible vs. bad:

Horrible;

cheating on spouse, SO
murder (that can be proven)
knowing you can't live with a decision you've made

Bad;

punching someone in the face (bad but perfectly acceptable)
putting a spider in someone's bed
calling someone a b!tch while waiting on her at a store
fantasizing of cheating on SO

I think about robbing a bank as a fantasy. Out here in California your chances of getting caught are pretty nil unless you make a habit of it. There's more than one bank robbery a day and they usually don't get the person.

Unfortunately, I worry about being the one person they DO catch , so no easy money for me.

For awhile I gave some consideration to bumping off my almost ex husband for the insurance money. It would have been so easy to pick him off on his hour long commute from work to our very rural home during deer season. No one would have been the wiser. Rifle with scope + empty farm field = stray shots happen all the time. There was also the hair dryer into the bathtub scenario. Lucky for him he wasn't worth the risk and he wasn't a miserable person. He was just boring as heck and got on my last nerve some days.

Yes, I have 'thought' about doing something bad, but I would not act on certain things. I guess that it would just depend on the situation and timing. Cheating is not something that I would do though.

I would never cheat either - but I have had evil thoughts about revenge and ways to go about it. I despise my principal, but...I just keep telling myself that karma will nip her in the rear. I have never wanted to see someone suffer as much as I have with her...brings out the worst in me.

I'll admit to wondering how much money those Brinks trucks have in them. I work in a downtown area so they're around a lot. Holding one up would be pretty stupid since there are so many people around.

I don't think I could live with myself if I ever did anything really bad to a person - even if I truly hated them. It's just not my personality.

I really believe people get what they deserve in the end, so I don't generally feel the need to get revenge.  I do understand the momentary feeling of wishing they would quickly get what they deserve, though!

Yep, those Brinks' trucks have caught my eye, too.  Well, actually I'm just kidding.  Admitting that would nearly be a federal offense. . .

I'm totally up for doing bad things!  Somethingshiny said "punching someone in the face," and this reminds me of how much I wanted to kick box some random annoying person at a grocery store after being influenced by watching the entire Alias series.  I'd love to kick some serious butt!  Of course, the most I would do is ram my shopping cart into another person's cart and I've only done that once or twice!

Boy, do I disagree with this!  I don't see having fantasies as a bad thing.  I think that actions can be evil, but that thoughts-unless acted upon-are neither bad nor good.  They are grist for the mill.  They are something that can be analyzed.  I just told my daughter today about the famous quotation that an unexamined life is not worth living.  I think, therefore I am!!!

HI:

Agreed!  I mean, are not fantasies for what "healthy" people do instead of acting out the real thing?  Honeslty who has not thought of Johnny Depp or George Clooney outside of Oceans Eleven or Pirates??????

Nuf said (except to define "bad" or "evil" which are vastly different IMHO...but I did say enuf!!).

Yes. And recently, every bad thing I've been thinking about doing has to do with the post office.

Does imagining how I strangle, beat up and kick the hell out of my colleague who just wouldn't stop rambling and jabbering count as bad?

I've thought of all of the above, the bad, AND the horrible. I believe I have the capacity for both, but I also have a lot of restraint. I think it's healthy and normal, gets my frustration out and allows me to relieve stress associated with toxic situations.
