I wonder if anyone can let me know if these are recommended over glass patio cover? I am not sure how durable they are and what to look for? We currently have old aluminum cover which blocks all the sun and keeps the area too cool. Thanks

I'm having a hard time picturing your patio cover. If it can be fitted, you will have to be careful of wind and rain, which is always a concern with fabric awnings. Otherwise they are quite durable if you buy a decent quality of material. |

Thanks lyra: yes it can be fitted and can only be used in summer months as we get heavy rains and snow in the winter too.Good point with wind never thought about it. I am thinking of that or glass and not sure which way to go.It would be nice to have the patio covered all year which would leave us with glass option. Thinking of all options.
