Has anybody here purchased diamonds from the American online vendors outside USA? I am thinking about purchasing an expensive one (> $20,000) but am very worried about the vendor not sending me the stone or sending me a wrong one.

What can I do to protect myself from possibly having to engage in cross-border litigation? The vendor I have in mind is bluenile and, having emailed them this question, they basically asked me to have faith in them.

Trust but verify - once you get the diamond get an independant appraiser to verify the diamond matches the report etc. BN are a reputable company, mix ups are extremely rare and great care is taken with the online vendors to prevent these.  Yes some PSers have purchased outside the US with excellent results, and in fact have made repeat purchases.

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...
