I'm looking into buying my first engagement ring. I have been looking at White Flash, James Allen, and Blue Nile. I have a budget of around $1500 total.

I've been looking at James Allen and found a beautiful solitaire setting and a couple of diamonds I liked, just waiting for the imaging to come back. Unfortunately, they are citing 2 weeks to build the ring, and I'd really like to receive it faster than that.

I started looking at Blue Nile today and found a lot of settings I like, like this one: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-white-gold_4779?filter_id=1

The problem is I have no idea how to browse diamonds at Blue Nile. At James Allen they had great images of the diamonds with a virtual magnification and everything.
I know I'm looking for around a 0.5 carat, round, ideal cut, G-H, VS1-SI1 (if eye clean). On James Allen I was also looking at the Hearts and Diamonds specifically. And I also know that a low pavilion angle, like below 41, is preferable.

Maybe you can help me with choosing a good diamond from Blue Nile? Maybe with a good estimation of all those stats, like pavilion angle, depth %, table %... Anything that's important. Or does Blue Nile have imaging I'm missing?

Here's some I've found that you can all let me know if they'd be good:

Thanks for any help!

Hi t,

The links don't work for me, can you try again? (make them clickable)

I like the second one best and the med blue fluorescence is a nice feature of an I colour I think.

When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...

Me too, but I'd want to make sure it's eyeclean. And if that means you don't want to see anything from any angle or distance, be sure to tell them that.

Thanks for the links miss. (the other browser wouldn't work)
