Can someone tell me if a barion cut stone can fit into a stock setting for another shape stone (asscher or princess maybe)? I am looking at a barion cut stone from Dan, but don't want to have to go custom on the setting.

I don't know how much you want to spend, but LOGR will create a custom variation on any of their settings for a nominal fee (anywhere from $30 to $50).

Say, November, did you ever get the pastel yellow, what was it, chrysoberyl or mail from Dan?  I believe you ordered it a month or two ago.   How did you like it?  How's the dispersion on it?  Any photos, by any chance?

I would think you could find a stock setting for a barion cut.   The LOGR's are beautiful, also.

Sonoma,

You have a great memory. I did get the grossular garnet from Dan. I finally got a new camera with a macro mode, so I will try to take some pics to post soon. The dispersion is great, but I am having a hard time deciding how to set it since it is a very pale yellow. I was originally planning to set it in white gold, but now I am not sure that's the best way to bring out the color on this one. I'll definitely be interested in everyone's opinions once I get some pics posted.

Thanks November. (Great month for a wedding, btw.)  (I'm such a fall/winter lover.)

Ah, grossular, that's it.  That stone just struck me as a special stone.  I would have gotten it but you beat me.  Congrats on the new camera.

I was just wrestling, for a few months, on how to set a light yellow diamond.  I decided on white gold, to show off the yellow.  Post photos here, when you can, and I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas, if you ask.

Thanks,  Sonoma

A barion cut stone (if square) should fit in something meant for a cushion stone.
