Or should I request a certain color range? ~cait I respond well to sparkles

If it's barely noticable then maybe a whiter halo will more or less look the same as the center. But if the center stone is really warm, then I think a whiter halo will enhance the warmth even more.

A white bezel around the stone with a halo fancy yellow diamonds in the yellow gold... set at an angle to they reflect away from the center might make the stone appear lighter in comparison... but again it depends on how warm we're talking. I think... a blue sapphire halo might do that as well.

Plus, I would call it a creamy white...it's a diamond, I love it, no problem. I just want to make sure that if the melee is whiter, it doesn't look tacky somehow, or something. ~cait I respond well to sparkles

If you're using it to make the centerstone appears larger, opt for melee within 2 color grades. Personally I'd like the halo to highlight the warmth of the centerstone, so my K center actually has a halo comprising of G melees. I guess it's a matter of preference. -Dmitri-
