OK, I usually like very simple, classic rings. But I've been looking at mokume gane rings and they look so cute and unique! But I have never seen one in real life, up close. In pictures they look amazing, but I'm wary they might look a little strange up close. So, do you guys like these type of rings? I'm not planning on buying it or anything, I'm just kind of browsing for fun.

I adore Mokume Gane, and my husband chose one as his wedding band - I bought his from www.anduradesigns.com and was really happy with the service.

We chose a 4mm tri-gold solid forged ring and asked for quite a subtle difference between the colours which they did. They're not cheap, but each one is unique and DH's has been much admired by other guys over here.

A big YAY! We would have chosen them if we could.

I'd love a mokume gane ring! I love that each ring has its own, totally unique, design!

Many designers use more subtle color combinations than those shown in your sample -- or not!

yay! I like the more subdued colors in silver/white
I am not sure if I would do a prong setting but a bezel or half-bezel setting would be awesome.

I vote Yay...I've been looking for wedding bands recently and I really like the look of the Mokume rings. I'm hoping to find some local vendors so I can try them on and see what they look like in real life. I showed them to my FI and she liked them as well.

I think a thinner shank would make for a more delicate ring. The style is very pretty and unique.

Well, obviously it's a matter of personal choice, but I don't really like them. There's a lot going on visually, and it's too much for me to look at- it would really be too much for me to look at if I had to look at it all the time. You know, but to each their own.

You really need to see them in person - the subtle ones are a whole different look. DH didn't want something that looked like a tiger round his finger!

Sadly it's quite hard to find anywhere that stocks them - I'm pretty sure that Andura will send you a sample bit though.

Nay for me (especially the one you have pictured).  If I had one it would have to be much more subtle and it
would be a ring I wore for fun not something like a wedding band and ering that I wore every day.

~~~Thanks to PS, my wants far exceed my budget!~~~
A BIG ditto to that!
