Ok, my other topaz ring arrived today and now I'm totally lost !  This one is completely different - more modern and could be worn more.  It was also about 1/2 the price  and isn't as "huge" even though the actual topaz is bigger.  Which do all of you think is the better compliment to my wedding set - if either (I won't be offended if the answer is, "neither" )?  The darker, more ornate ring or the lighter, more modern one?  Again, I appreciate the advice

I like the light and airy look of the lighter color... Plus I'm a bezel fan

I prefer the lighter blue topaz ring.  It has a simple and elegant look that compliments your gorgeous wedding set without competing with it.

I adore the first one - it's dramatic, and the workmanship is lovely. The second one just doesn't do anything for me.

the dark one is one of my favorite colored gems/settings on this site - love it!

I like the darker stone better. The lighter stone seems to have a window.

I prefer the darker one. I like the color of the stone more, it has no window, and the setting is really unique.

I like the darker first one - it is SO different.  The second one, while gorgeous, doesn't stand out as much to me.

I love the darker ring. I also don't think your rings need to always compliment your ering...but I do think the dark ring goes well with your set.

Oh gosh, I like them both.  If I had to pick one it would be the light one only because it is more
wearable (IMO).   The dark one would be great for going out at night (I see it more as a night time ring).
The light one works day or night.

I normally adore light blue but that darker one is breathtaking. I saw another thread you posted it in and it is swoon worthy! It seems more expensive looking and like something you'd be happy to pass on to a favored granddaughter down the line. Definitely the first one. Much richer feeling.

The shape and style of the darker one compliment your ering the best.

Oh I really like the lighter one and I vote for that!
Love the setting on it and looks really great on you...the other one is pretty but I think you would get more wear out of the lighter one it's more versatile so to speak...but both are super pretty

The darker ring. I don't care for the proportions of light blue ring -- the stone seems to be too large (gasp!) for that particular setting.

The darker ring is dramatic, memorable, and an overall beautiful piece. Worn regularly it would become a signature piece. However, if you're more comfortable with jewelry that doesn't make that much of a statement and you want something you can wear most of the time, then... I'd keep looking.

Interesting. I feel like I should prefer the lighter one but I don't. I prefer the darker one. I think it is more unusual and dramatic.

Thanks for all of the great feedback, everyone!

At first I was leaning towards the light blue because I could wear it more and it is less expensive.  However, the more I look at the dark blue, I'm drawn to it.  I love how unusual it is and think I'm really looking for a statement/signature piece for night time/special occasion wear.  I live in a major city too so I think it could be more fun for a "night on the town".  I may have to take it for a test drive tonight

Catmom/Innerkitten - I didn't notice the window in the light blue until you said it but I totally see it now which has also put me off on that one.  That's for pointing that out

Again, thanks for all of your feedback....I think the London Blue has won out

Someday you will be nostalgic for now...

I think you should keep them both, if possible, since they are so different.

By the way, can you tell me where you got the light topaz one??? I would LOVE something like (price permitting) that to wear for my wedding, as my something blue!!!

Yes, I am with tyty333!  I am a bezel fan, so that swayed me.  If I owned these two rings, the light blue would be worn often and the dark blue would only come out of the box for special nights out.
