I am so sad. I was about ready to buy an EC diamond D VS2 listed as ideal cut and I see it's no longer available on line. It's for a RHR, nothing special just something I wanted.

Thanks Lisa and Linda. I was emailing back and forth about it today and almost gave him a call to put it on hold and ask to get a visual confirmation it would meet my expectations but I was waiting for a few more photos from him so I thought I'd wait to see those first. Bad idea.

I'm sorry marcy, this happen to me 2 weeks ago, I have one EC diamond, and I want to get another to make a pair of earrings, and the one i was interested on buying, was gone when i finally decided to make the shop

I'm sorry marcy...do you think it's sold or maybe someone just called it in to look at it? When I was looking at stones one I really liked was suddenly unavailable online and was sent to California. I thought it was sold, but then a couple months later I saw someone on PS posting about it as one of their choices. Maybe it will become available again.

Ah, that sucks! Be sure to call the vendor and to see if the diamond was sold. As Gummibear said, the diamond may just be on hold and later become available again.

Thanks Michelle, D&T, Gaby06, Gummibear, MC, TLH and Musey. I did call today and that is what happened, someone called the diamond in but it may be back by Monday. We have my name on the list next to put it on hold if it becomes available. Gaby, what size EC diamond are you looking for? They will be great for earrings.

Thanks I Love Asschers and Chrono. To amuse myself I went to the diamond remount show at Zales tonight. In all fairness they had a gorgeous 1 ct EC but the 1/2 ct G VS1 had to be graded by someone who had a few too many beers first. EWE!!! I did try it in several styles of mounts to see what I like.

Thanks Dreamer and Burk. I was looking at around a 1/2 ct. There is a chance the diamond could be back by Monday and if so we have it on hold. JA sent me a few more certs and photos but so far this one is the one I want. I went to a diamond remount at Z tonight just to play with their 1/2 ct EC. Let's just say their version of G VS2 was "EWE". I did find what rings I liked with that size with though. To be fair, they had a beautiful 1 ct EC but way out of my price range.

You know, I was totally SOLD on a diamond I spied on the internet. I literally couldn't sleep with excitement, for at least a month. When I finally got to see it (yes, it was still available, languishing through the holiday season over here) I found to my utter surpise that it wasn't the right one after all! (inclusions visible from the side) So just think, you might be worrying for nothing?! Hopefully you'll see it soon! And then a plank in reason broke... Emily Dickinson |

Thanks Laraonline. I am definitely not sleeping well thinking about this. I have never bought a diamond online but it is so much cheaper this way. I am worried I won't like it in person. I usually find out the hard way you get what you pay for. So how did you finally fine the right stone for you?
