It's not faceted so I don't think it really counts as a "Dan" stone since the faceting is what he's known for. But still, I'm excited! I love white translucent stones (hence my love of white jade and moonstones) so when I happened upon this opal I thought it looked lovely! :) I don't usually like the flashiness of opals, but this one sounds like it has a subtle blue shimmer that sounds right up my alley. So excited! Hehe, I promise myself that this is the last gem/jewelery purchase until June. I've been bad the last two months :-P

Support group ;) Well, it's reaching crunch time for the wedding planning now, so hopefully that will keep me occupied. I have cake toppers to paint and programs to put together, and the first of the wedding gifts came in, so I have to start with the thank you notes! Haha, I now own a lovely 14 piece cookware set from Cuisinart and no discernible cooking abilities...yay? Good thing the foreman grill is here too, it's so simple even the fiance can cook with it, lol.

I can't wait to see yours! He hasn't cut one recently though I don't think, or at least it didn't show in his "now cutting" section, yet he has a lot in his inventory under opals. I guess his opals just don't get snatched up as much as his faceted stones? Oh well, more for me! Hehe. I'll definitely post pics when I get the stone!
