We are looking to rent out a condo in Florida as a vacation rental? I've had in listed on Craigslist for a week, with no response. I am considering listing it in the local paper, but doubt many vacation renters look to the local paper for vacation renting. I'm also thinking of listing it on a vacation rental webiste, but not sure which one to go with. Would you just google "vacation rental" and the name of the city you want to go to?

My parents have a vacation rental and primarily advertise on VRBO.com. We've also rented from ppl on there for my wedding in SF and in Prague too. Start there.

VRBO.com as Neat suggested would be a great start. My aunt owns three condos on the beach, and during the busy season turns people away.

This is timely. I'm searching for a Miami Beach rental. The weather here is driving me absolutely batty. Thanks for the info.

Besides what has been listed already, I always go to Expedia for vacation rentals. I have *no* idea what theire process is to include rentals though.

Thanks for your quick replies!! Looks like an on-line listing site is the way to go. I just looked at VRBO, and there are tons of listings for our town! Fiery - It's in Marathon, which is in the Keys. I know there's a local paper that gets published a few times a week, but I don't know how someone in Michigan (for some reason tons of folks from Michigan vacation in Marathon), for example, would have access to that paper. Oh, and Expedia -- that's a great idea. I'll look into it!
