Thanks to all for answering my questions before I made the purchase.  1.51 carat, Ideal cut, F, VS2, Excellent Polish and Symmetry, No Floursecence, 61.3 Depth, 57 Table, 34.5 Crown, 40.8 Pavilion.  Looks incredible!  Ring size is 3.25.

Thanks for all the comments!  I went with the 1.51 thinking her ring size was in the 4.5 - 5.0 range but was way off.  She has no complaints though, many people assume it's 2 carats!

What a lovely "mistake".

Again, you did a great job. Classic and blingy, what more could one want?! Congrats!

Hi, did you guys by any chance purchase the matching BlueNile nouveau wedding band? I'm wondering if it sits flush against the engagement ring...

Here's a thread I started on my search for the ideal setting:

Hi mkozaka, yes I do have some questions! Have you seen the Tiffany Novo in person, and if so, how does this compare to that? The Tiffany Novo has 8 small diamonds on each side, 1 point carat each. The BN Nouveau also has 8 on each side but they are 2 point carat each. Because of the double in size, I'm worried the BN band might look too thick or gaudy on my hand. From the BN Nouveau website, the band does look kind of thick compared to the diamond:
http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagment-ring-set-platinum_7972?parent_oid=7798

But the reassurance I have is it looks really elegant and thin on your fiancee's hand! If you have any closeups of the ring from the top or side views, I'd really love to see them!

We have a diamond on hold on BN until 9:55pm PST tonight, so I'm really hoping to hear from you by then. Your response might be the final factor in our decision! It's a semi close race between the BN Nouveau and the GOG Gabriel & Co setting, but I am currently leaning towards the BN Nouveau. If we still can't decide, we might try to extend the hold for another 48 hours. I really hope they would let us do that!

No, mine isn't from BlueNile. But the style of the ring is exactly the same with the center stone being exactly 1.51 carats as well. I love it! It's super sparkly and just perfect for my finger size I think.

Here's the link to mine, the style is almost identical.

Silverbuggy, sorry I'm late!  I have not seen the Tiffany Novo. The BN band is not thick or gaudy, the image on their website is not an accurate representation.  I can take more pictures if you would like.
