hi everyone!

I'm new to this site.... well i've been lurking for a while and this site has been wonderful! thank you everyone for all their helpful posts and tips. so now i need help with the specs for my diamond that i'm deciding on. Letting my guy know tommorrow if it's a go!!

This stone is getting a 5 on the HCA, when a 2 or below is considered desirable. You might be able to do better if you are looking for a well-cut stone.

Swingirl's right.  Those measurements imply a pavilion/crown combo of 41.4/35.5.  If performance is important to you this isn't the one.  It's predicted at AGS4-5 - notable under-table leakage - and faces up about 5% smaller than it should for the weight.

it seems like good old gold is a popular choice to buy loose diamonds from. any other suggestions? my vendor seems to be not making great picks so far! looking for a .80-.85rb for a good price, i don't mind it being a SI1 either.

my setting is $1900 so preferbly  $6000-under for the rock and setting together. is this an unreasonable request? im also in vancouver so in canadian dollar amount
