do you like my acronym-ed title? ![]() I'm having trouble trying to come up with something to send SO for Vday since he's on deployment. The boat only gets mail at certain ports.. for christmas they helicoptered in packages before the date but I'm not sure something like that will be planned for Valentines day. When I send a package I need to declare everything on a customs slip, but I dont really want to send him just chocolate or anything cliche like that. I sent him hard copies of all his favorite pictures of us for Christmas so thats out of the question. Iff I'd thought of this earlier I definitely would've gotten some tastefully done lingerie shots done and bound because we haven't SEEN each other since October and I know he'd love it. Too late now =-/ I need help!!! I cant come up with anything because my brain is fried from my winter semester at one school overlapping my spring semester at my degree school and I'm just worn down. What would you ladies send your SO if he were on deployment? for the rest of my life I will search for moments full of you ♥ |

hallo sailorsweet<3 :) this is a toughie! how about a really beautiful, sexy set of lingerie, and a love letter, which includes a promise to wear it for him as soon as he gets home? but he has to hold onto it and keep it safe till he comes back and brings it with him... that would definitely get his attention if nothing else!! or how about a book of love poetry with all the ones you'd like ot read him marked? if you dont want to send chocolates - why not make fudge? it travels better without melting, and something made specially by you for him would mean more. how about a dvd you've seen together that you both loved and a letter telling him about the memories it brings back for you? anyway, these are just a few suggestions - i hope they help! whitby (AKA 'cake lady being attacked by a dog') |

Hey SailorsSweet<3, just thought I'd throw an idea out there for you. One of my friends who's in the Navy sent her deployed boyfriend a digital camera with pictures and videos of her. I thought this was kinda nice because he got to see her and hear her voice, and it was something he got to keep with him until he comes home. I'll ask some of the guys at work for some ideas too. I'm one of only 4 women sailors in a group of 40, soo when it comes to the man advice I'm set. haha.
"... See there's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me." |

OoOOoo Thanks for the ideas girls I'm definitely loving the lingerie/love letter whitby. I think I might go do some shopping tonight The book of poems is really romantic too, I might do both.Cosmo let me know what your sailor consensus is - talk about going straight to the source! haha. I sent him some videos of my and some of his puppy burnt on a CD for christmas, as well as all his favorite kids movies (hes a kid at heart) and some hbo series so I'm going to stray away from that for VDay. Thanks for your help girlss ![]()

Do you have a signature scent that you always wear? When BF and I are going to be apart for awhile, it helps me to have a shirt or something that smells like him. I feel kind of weird saying this, but it's really comforting to "smell him" when I'm missing him. Maybe you could send him something that smells like you?

princesslily great suggestion! I have a couple perfumes I wear, but I'll pick the one he'll most identify with. When we first started dating back in '06 and he first left me for a couple weeks he gave me his sweatshirt with a spray of his cologne on it and I wore it over and over until we got to see each other again. Thanks for the suggestion, it'll be perfect!
