Here are two rings I am considering. I requested and have the reports, but they were too big to attach. I know no one can say much without seeing them and am happy to provide them.

I'm looking in the $5000 range, 1.00 ct., G, VS2.

I want it to be eye clean.

Are there any other diamonds other folks see that have better characteristics in the similar price bracket.

Thank you all in advance.

These are not in house diamonds so WF would have to call them in, you say you have the reports?  Those might give us more info such as the proportions of each diamond, if you email them to admin they could post them for you.

I finally posted the two certificates. Thoughts on these two diamonds? Others any one has found that have better numbers or performance? One is a 2.7 and the other is a 2.3 on HCA.

Do WF have Idealscope images ready for either of these?

No. They are currently with the manufacturer. I can get them. Do you have any suggestion as to which one I should be leaning towards?

Does anyone have any suggestions in the range I'm looking for?

~$5000
Round
1.00Ct.
G Color
VS2

I would like excellent or ideal cut, and eyeclean. Anything else I should be looking for?

Well GIA round the angles and both of these depending on which way the angles are rounded could lean towards being steep deeps - this means the angle combo can cause light leakage in a diamond - but if they are rounded towards the shallower ends then each diamond could be fine.  I would see if you can get the images for each if possible as this will tell us more.

As to your criteria, I would suggest considering GIA/ AGS graded SI1 clarity if you want to try to hit a carat for the budget - just clarify with the seller that the diamond is eyeclean to your standards.  Also be careful with labels such as Ideal cut etc especially if vendor applied, the only meaningful use of the term Ideal pertains to AGS0 cut grade - otherwise it does not give you a better chance of finding a well cut diamond.

Here are some more in budget, I dropped slightly under a carat which should make no visual difference, see what you think.

The above is a bit over budget but I thought I would add it anyway.

Well, after you were showing me some of those, I may have given in a little. What do you think of this:
