One diamond I saw today was listed as medium blue flourescence. I didnt look blue at all, He told me if we go to a bar with a black light then it will most likely show up. Is that true, is there anything else I should be looking for, or any reason why this would make this diamond not as great. Thanks

Sometimes, you can't tell it at all in regular lighting. Sometimes, there is a whisper of blue. It will show more under black light.

I have a medium blue stone and can tell because my two side traps don't have fluro - it bugs me. if you're gonna use the stone as a solitaire and you can get a good deal then go for it! if you're gonna put it with side stones, I'd keep looking. HTH! p.s. I went bowling one time and my ring was glowing in the black light.

I have had a diamond for 30 years with med. blue and have NEVER seen one hint of it! So I'd say it is inconsequential unless you plan on spending a lot of time under black lights! In that case, I'd make the sidestones be flourescent, too!
