Does this bug anyone?  Since I've gotten engaged, I've worn very few of my gemstone rings.  Mostly because they are all larger than my ering.  I feel like it takes away from me ering and also makes it look small.  (.72 Princess)  I am having serious issues with this.  Does this bug anyone else?  Or is everyone's ering larger than all their gemstone?

I don't think most people care about this because diamonds have their own properties that set them apart from other gemstones.  It's also easy to get a 3+ carat gemstone for an affordable price, but not so easy to do so with a diamond.

I don't wear a diamond e-ring, but I do wear a 1.05 carat green diamond with two 22 point pink sides, and I also wear a half carat brownish pink.  I suppose these stones are rather small next to some of my other gems, but I thoroughly enjoy them for the sparkle factor, and I think they more than make up for their small size in other ways.  However, if they were colorless diamonds, I might feel differently, but that's just me.

Doesn't bother me. But I am a minimalist when it comes to jewelry so often I will only wear my wedding band when I want to wear a cocktailish type ring and leave my engagement ring at home.

Nope, doesn't bother me!  All of my gemstone rings are larger mostlly because colored gems are cheaper and I can go bigger!

I actually think this is something I'm concerned about - I even worry about it with my tsavorite and diamond 5-stone band - I don't like the idea of something overpowering my e-ring and wedding band, partly because of the symbolism, and partly because I have small hands and so don't want to overwhelm them.

Doesn't bother me either!  That's something that I pondered about as well.  My topaz RHR is 6 cts., significantly larger than my current white diamond e-ring.  But like Tourmalinelover said, diamonds have a presence and sparkle unlike any other gemstone.  They stand on their own, despite their smaller size.

Nope, that's why I have 2 hands. Left hand for my beloved e-ring/wedding band and right hand for bigger, flashier, gemstone rings

I like a little balance, so I wouldn't wear a huge ring on my right hand.

~~~ When in doubt...don't.~~~
Actually it really does bother me...
I have a sapphire as my ering center stone, and I have noticed that I dont wear many of the gemstone rings I have that are larger than it.   I dont know why it bothers me, but I think it is because of what diamondseeker said... I want balance.
I really prefer wearing bands on my right hand now... many of my gemstone rings are solitaires and I really dont like how they look on the right hand... its so weird...
Many of my gemstone rings are approximately the same size as my "one-day" e-ring.  I think I will be ok if it is bigger or smaller.  My gemstone rings that are much bigger look like cocktail rings.  I wouldn't wear the huge stones on a regular basis.
I think having a coloured stone e-ring makes a difference.
I don't set my gemstones because if I was to do so, it would be as rings and then I would never wear them in case they overpowered my e-ring.
The only RHR I might one day wear is either a cognac or OEC diamond....
