I was browsing WF looking for ideas for my wedding band and I came across this u-prong band (matches the u-prong engagement ring) -
http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/Gold_Details.aspx?ItemCode=WFR-U5ET&CategID=10#

I don't know how I never saw this band before, but I love it!  I think it would be a great match to my e-ring - what do you guys think?  I've been having a hard time finding something I really like because my e-ring has a pretty pronounced knife-edge, which I love, but flat & domed bands look weird next to it.  The other option I'm thinking of is some sort of custom baguette & round bezel set band or an alternating baguette & round shared prong eternity.

That's a beautiful ring-it will look great together. It would also be great if they could make the surprise stones sapphires

Very pretty..but the profile of the band seems high, will the diamonds be rubbing on the prongs of your e-ring? I noticed that , since this is the problem I'm having with my diamond band.

Prongs rubbing on diamonds would be a concern.  Could you send the measurements of your ering to WF and see what they say.

I think it would look gorgeous - and the surprise diamonds would echo the one in the setting!

I *might* be worried about the prongs rubbing, as beau noted. Can you aske WF how tall it is?

ETA :I feel your pain about the domed and flat bands looking funky.

I think the rings will look great together, but there might be some issues with rubbing. Do all the surprise diamonds stick out from the rings? How many mm high is the diamond band?

Hi everyone - the diamonds rubbing and being set rather high is what I am wondering about too, but then that would just give me a good excuse to find a cute stacking ring for in between!   Anyway, my e-ring doesn't sit up very high (which I like), so this may not end up working, but for now, I'm just trying to get ideas for what could work.  The knife edge makes it really hard to find stuff that works, so I may end up going the eternity or 3/4 eternity route.

Well, you know I'm going to vote for the bezel band.

That said, since our settings are similar, here are some of the bands that I was considering at well. I tried this one on with my ring and liked how it mimicked the knife edge a bit, but still sparkled:

The memoire purity was freaking gorgeous too - and low enough profile that it wouldn't rub (but I'm poor, LOL, so no memoire for me. )

ETA: I just got this image of the Tiffany Jazz, the one with the alternating sizes, with the little ones being sapphires.

ETAA: If there's another WF band you like - I betcha they could do a subtle knife edge on the shank of whichever you fall in love with...

Dani - Our tastes are so similar it's crazy!  LOL - this is what I've picked as my "fall-back option" http://www.jrjewelers.com/go/Belle_Palladium_and_Diamond_Wedding_Band_prk/Product_srk/

It's an ArtCarved band that comes standard in palladium and I know that it would look awesome with my e-ring because they'd have similar shapes.

I also love the Memoire band and the Tiffany Swing too, but those are too pricey for me.  Even this u-prong from WF is more than I wanted to spend, but if it were to work with my setting, I'd be willing to save up for it.  If I go the bezel route, I'd probably do the same as you, find the cast on Adwar and then have WF do the ring.  I think I'd like to milgrain on the bezels though to make it a bit more vintage looking and I'd definitely go with the alternating baguettes & rounds.  I tried on a bar-set bagutte & round band when I was at home over Thanksgiving and really liked how the different shapes looked with my ring, but I'm not a fan of bar-set stones - I think they look too modern for my taste.

I think that the Artcarved band is my favorite.  The WF U=Prong is sure pretty but seems expensive for the tcw.....

OMG LMAO! That's awesome.  And I think it would look cool. (Still pulling for the bezels, because, well, because I'm me, LOL.)

Yeah, it's on the expensive side, but I'm *almost* okay with the price because I love it so much.  We'll see though.  The only thing with the ArtCarved band is that it's pave and I'm not always the most delicate flower in the bunch, to put it nicely.  I'm afraid that I'd end up losing stones left & right.

I would be concerned about how the wf ring 'relates' to your beautiful sapphire ring.

Did you consider something with sapphires?

I've thought about possibly having something custom done with some combination of alternating sapphires & diamonds, but I'm worried that my sapphire will be hard to match since in many lighting conditions it has a violet cast to it and I wouldn't want the sapphires to clash with each other.  That picture above shows how the stone looks in diffused natural light, but under incandescent & flourecent light it tends to have a more periwinkle/violet cast to it.

Have you considered any of the ArtCarved Engraved Bands? They might give you that antique look.

Can you show a side shot of your ering?  I think it would match perfectly, but I'm wondering if your surprise diamonds poke out...

That would be my only concern, and I love the idea of the surprise stones on the band being sapphires!

laurel--I adore your ring! I think you could do a number of different bands. What about an engraved band with interspersed diamonds? Let me go find a pic.

That vine band from Clay Pot is awesome!  The ArtCarved links just brought up the same page, but I think I know which ones you're thinking of.  I like them, but I think I want bit more sparkle - I am considering something like that for a stacking band though if I need to get one.

Hey laurel - what about putting two slender pave bands on either side, flanking the ring?

Just my two cents...

I understand your concern about matching the sapphires in a wedding band to your beautiful e-ring.  I, too, looked for diamonds in a wedding band after my reset.  But all the whites against my blue just didnt work.  So, I opted for a plain band...that way... my e-ring diamond is the star.  Yes, I miss the bling sometimes... but that passes...lol

I think it would love lovely with a scattered diamond band - some sparkle, but not competing - the best of all worlds, IMO.
