Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy A. Jaffe? The 'drool of the day' is this one here. A silly question perhaps, but I'll need to custom order it for my dinky 4.25 finger. They seem to be sold through B&Ms and the B&Ms (I believe) determine the pricing. Has anyone found any good bargains out there? Thanks! ![]() gardengirl

GG...I haven't seen A. Jaffe anywhere but an approved retailer, though I do know that some online etailers carry them...possibly Diamond Brokers of Florida...I recall a few of other online companies that we hear about alot being vendors, but the branded settings do command a higher price! I did find that I could do a little pricing negotiation online when I was looking at Michael B settings...in the B&M the setting I was looking at was $2600 and online I found a company that offered it for around $2200...so a *small* savings but a savings nonetheless. So you may just start looking around online and seeing if you can haggle a better price.

I actually don't care if it's an AJaffe or not-- it's just the design that I've never seen before that I'm ga-ga over. I'll see what I can come up with during the week. It should be interesting.![]() gardengirl

Hi Gardengirl, solomonbrothers.com carry the line. I found them to be more expensive than where I ended up ordering my sister in laws ring from. I ordered hers from (& were almsost $400 U.S cheaper than Solomon Brothers): Ben Gurelick 5001 Transit Road Williamsville, NY (suburb of Buffalo,NY) 14221 (716) 631-1584 I called them up, they gave me a price, I faxed my order down, they shipped it to DBOF when the ring came in, Brad set the stone, & DBOF mailed the completed ring back to the Buffalo Fed. Ex depot for pickup. I never set foot in Ben Gurelick. They were great to deal with & have the best prices that I know of. I didnt go jewelery store hopping to find out if 20 other stores would price match. I was pleased with Peter's price (owner of Ben Gurelick) & just had him take care of shipping to DBOF. No sweat off my brow. Good luck to you, Judy :-) The ring you chose is very nice & should be incredibly sparkly.

The A. Jaffe rings comes in 5 different qualities from I1/I2 to VVS quality making it hard to price shop their merchandise. Anthony asolomon |

this is absolute B.S A. Jaffe rings ONLY come in one quality and that is carefully selected quality. There are NOT different quality grades. you will not see any imperfect graded stones. SI1-VS1 stones of I-G color are used, period.

Well...I don't know about A.Jaffe, but Verragio is more high-end, and they take even the customer's stones to set if desired (I know, I've just done it). There seems to be more leeway available if the retailer requests this 'customization'. As far as the finished product that you see in the stores, you might be correct, but that doesn't mean that other stone qualities cannot be special ordered.

I know this is an old thread, but I am ordering a Jaffe ring (soon I hope!) and they do indeed come in different grade diamonds.. We were offered two different qualities.. I don't exactly remember what they were, my bf has the info. |
