I have no idea what will happen, but it should be interesting. (And I guess I have little in common with the Palm beach rich, because I wouldn't have that frog set on my wish list if it was marked down 90%!)

~~~ When in doubt...don't.~~~
Living not too far from Palm Beach, I have joked that I want to park outside the first pawn over the bridge and wait for a good deal on some mega bling, but certainly would not be frogs
I am really surprised signed pieces hasn't had more nice Tiffany jewelery coming in than they've had. I expected many more bracelets, necklaces, etc. to come in the way things are for some people right now....
Very interesting. I'm not close enough to make it to Palm Beach but I am interested in seeing what might pop up on the mkt. I'm going to keep my eyes on Signed Pieces. Any other thoughts on who might end up reselling these goodies?
They are also selling their priceless art.  I am going in late Feb and will check out the pawn shops. My son was there in December  and told me a pair of HW earrings worth a boat load went for 15K at a pawn shop.
I'm OK with the ruby eyes, but diamond warts?
That's so sad- I'm not sure which saddens me more though; to have to sell your jewelry to meet basic needs or to have interested so much in jewelry that you don't have a decent enough nest egg to meet your needs when times go bad.
It's funny; while I don't feel like I've been hurt personally by our changing economy, it has made me more aware of my spending... I think a few of us are this way- I remembering seeing a thread about how everyone was trying to find was to save money. so it goes.
