I have been doing quite a bit of reading on diamonds since I found PS. I'm glad I found it before I made my purchase. I am looking at these stones and need some help in determining which stone I should choose. I appreciate any advice or input I can get! My GF really loved this setting from ShaneCo, after trying on quite a few from a few different places. I really like it as well, and have been unable to find anything close to it anywhere else. http://www.shaneco.com/catalog/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=22795&Loc=EE01 The Stones: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1848257.htm http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1848250.htm http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4692/ http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/5129/ http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/E-SI1-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1201070.asp http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-SI1-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-896924.asp Thanks, JB |

Any vendor preference etc? The first 5 look great, make sure out of these that the SI clarities are eyeclean to your standards by checking with the respective vendors. ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. I really like each of the stones from WF and GOG. The Ideal-Scope images seem to depict a better stone than either of the JA stones. But, I could really use some insight as I am a total newbie when it comes to this stuff. Thanks again JB

Thanks again JB I can't tell you which one to pick, what I can tell you is with that the first five diamonds you chose, that you did a great job and they are diamonds cut and crafted to the highest level and should all be excellent performers. With that said, choosing between them now has to come down to colour and clarity preferences, with the SI clarities if those meet your expectations for ' eyecleanliness ( check with the vendors) and budget. The next step is if you want to investigate any of the SI clarity diamonds for purchase, contact the vendors to confirm whether they are eyeclean or not to narrow things down. Otherwise there is no point considering the SI grades any further if they do turn out to not be eyeclean, so clarify this next. ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. I was able to verify that both of the SI's (the WF and GOG) are both eye-clean.

Anyone else have any opinions on these stones? I'm not quite sure when looking at all the fine details (angles and %'s)on what exactly I am looking at. I ran each of them through the HCA and all were right at 1, with the first WF listed being at 0.8. If I did the calculations right anyway. Is there anything I should be concerned about when looking at the Ideal images? I would appreciate any help. I'm looking to buy asap. Thanks again... JB
