Hi all, I'm sure lots of you have pendants from Tiffany. I'm thinking about getting one of the sterling ones and would love some input. I've never bought anything from Tiffany (I know - shame on me!). If you have one of the sterling pendants, can you comment or post a photo? I don't really want something with hearts and I want something a little unusual if possible. They don't give sizes on the website, other than "small" or whatever and I have no idea what small, med, large equates to.

I've looked at several and can't decide. Help!!

Hi!

I have the letter k pendant in small. Unfortunately, I'm at work and not wearing it today so I can't post photos right now, but I would say it's about 1 inch from top to bottom.  I love it and get lots of compliments on it!!

Don't have one but my faves are the signature pendant and the letter pendant. They are all pretty choices though!

That letter K is classy looking.

Anyone have the small round Tiffany notes pendant? If so how big is it? I am thinking of getting it for my birthday...

Do you have a Tiffany nearby you?  I have two Tiffany pendants and love them both and there were also two additional ones I had picked out and planned to buy, however, once in the store, one pendant ended up being microscopic on me and the other looked HUGE and unbalanced.  The online photos are not very helpful in providing perspective.

I have the "e" letter pendant in silver and love it. It's pretty small, but a lower case "e" is smaller than the "k."

I'll vote for the letter or the signature.

Katie - are you looking for something small and dainty or large and bold?

For me, as a petite woman, I like small, simple pendants, but not invisible ones, and found the best two that gave a touch of style and balance (at the time I bought them) was the open heart pendant and the starfish.  Both I bought in the small size.  The open heart seems a bit dated now, but I still love the starfish and wear it in the summer.  And, for reference, both of those are just over 1/2" long.

The style I loved that ended up being too small to see/make any impression at all isn't up on the website anymore.  It was part of the Nature Rose collection. . .All that is left is the ring, which is:
http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/CategoryBrowse.aspx?search=1&search_params=s+1-p+1-c+-r+-x+-n+12-ri+-ni+1-t+nature+rose

I tried the Quadrifoglio in medium and it was HUGE on me and looked silly!  If your style is big and bold, then that necklace would be perfect because it's very unique and takes the stage.

Would you be able to call Tiffany and ask them what the measurements on various styles/sizes are?

MC thanks so much! I'm like you - I don't want it to be tiny and invisible but not big and gawdy either. It's funny - I bought the DBTY necklace with sapphires from WF and love it but I've only gotten one compliment on it because it's so dainty I don't even think people notice it. Of course, it lays flat on my neck and doesn't hang down at all with a center "focal point" like these Tiffany pendants do.

I considered the starfish too as I love the beach but I thought it seemed kindof seasonal. Hubby likes the quad best and I really like that one too.

Ebree, thanks! I love the letters but don't think the "k" is the prettiest! My daughter's name is Emily and I looked at the "e" and liked it so much better!

I think I'll call and get the dimensions on several of these so I can get a good feel for how large they are. Good idea!

thanks again everyone - keep the comments coming...

Here's a thread with pictures of my Tiffany pendant:

(Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question! But I thought you might enjoy seeing what Tiffany was up to a century or so ago.)

My far-and-away favorite is the Celtic Love one.

I have the initial pendant, but an "m" so a picture wouldn't help you. I've seen a LOT of people with the "k" one, it's very cute.

Celtic love!!! It's beautiful!

The letter k is also very nice. I'm not a fan of the quadrifoglio that your hubby likes, though.

I really like the letter k. You can actually tell what it is. I looked up A and it doesn't even look like a letter imo.

Does the k look like a k? I guess I'm just used to a capital letter K.

love your antique pendant glitterata!

One more thing- do you get the initial of your first name or your last?

H would be for my last name and I like the h alot but if I get the k, my daughter will be able to wear it one day, as her middle name is my first name (Kathryn) and her last name is not the same as mine (I got remarried).

The only one I have of those is the letter l (which you didn't actually post that letter, but you kwim!).  I think it is nice, especially for casual wear.  The k is very pretty.  You could check your middle initial too if you don't like either the k or h.

My boyfriend gave me the letter c pendant for my birthday last month and I love it! It is great for everyday wear. The thing I like most about it is the delicate 16" chain, which comes right to my collarbone. I don't know if your other choices have chains of the same design and thickness, but the chain that came with my c pendant is very dainty. If I step a few feet away from the mirror, I almost don't even see the chain, which allows the focus to be on the pendant. This is why I enjoy wearing it day to day - it's really subtle and classy.

I love the knot and the quadrifoglio.  The letter is nice, too, but I'm much more of a "design" girl than anything else.

Hi Katie, not to discourage you from Tiff's, but have you considered any of the sellers on ETSY?

I used to want a T's SS pendant, but I have found so much great stuff on etsy (and so much more cost effective !).

There is a thread in CL if you're keen..

Thanks everyone! Still liking the initial pendant. I'm going to call Tiffany this morning and ask for dimensions of small and medium. Arjunajane, thanks for the links! I love Jennifer's site and think I might order those twisty stacking rings! Love them!

Erica - you're the 1st to say you like the knots pendant! I like it alot too and wondered why nobody else seemed to like that one much. Maybe it's just more ordinary looking?

Just called Tiffany and the small k is on a 16 inch chain and is about an inch tall. The medium k is on an 18 inch chain and is about an inch and a quarter tall. I think I'd like the shorter chain and an inch seems plenty large enough to me.
