So, I was at Bailey, Banks and Biddle today to pick up a bracelet I had repaired, so I wanted to try on some three-stone engagement rings with shared-porng eternity bands (this is a look I'm thinking of doing for a reset). I'm still not sure if I want to wear a shared-prong band with a solitaire, or a three-stone, so I asked the SA to try on both. Once I had the Memoire shared-prong band on, I asked her for the three-stone to try on with it. She said, "Oh, no. You can't wear a three-stone with a shared-prong eternity band. The look is way too much and it will look tacky." Now, I know that this is a lot of bling, but I am a PSer I was just kind of surprised that the SA was steering me away from the more expensive option to what she called the more "tasteful" option of either pairing my solitaire with a shared-prong band, or a three-stone with a plain band. I was also kind of surprised that she actually called it tacky, but I know that us PSers can go a little overboard with the bling ![]() Anyway, I wasn't offended or anything, I just wanted to share what I thought was kind of a funny story. I guess the thing is, not I may be a little more hesitant to pair those two blingy looks together. The idea of full-finger coverage is just so appealing though ...
