bling! Rough Rock Total Posts: 21 Last Post: 12/31/2008 Member Since: 12/3/2008	My mom has a 1 ct. pear diamond from her original engagement ring. She hasn't worn it in years, but would like to reset it - possibly into a necklace. Would it be possible to put a halo around the pear and set it as a pendant? Mom already has two right hand rings that she rotates, so I don't think she wants to reset it in a ring. Any other ideas? Photos of pear pendants? Thanks!!

It's an everyday (and not very good) pendant - so ignore the workmanship but this is just to illustrate how a pear can look in a very bad halo setting! I bought the setting from a shopping network and the diamonds were ok so I took out the horrible central stone and replaced it with my diamond!

I was trying to describe something like that the just a few weeks ago....love it! Not to hijack bling's thread - but I don't recall much of a thread on it - I think I just posted a few pics. But I took my 33 year old nasty spec's (!!!) pear to WF for an update. Brian and I spent a little time together, I kinda had this design in mind and he drew it out for me. I wanted more swing from the pear, it doesn't move much. The little ACA's are 10 pter's.

Just yesterday I thought how nice a pear would look as a necklace... and started browsing Whiteflash for pears (I'd have to buy one... or have one given to me as a present... probably the former ). What a timely thread!! I didn't consider putting a delicate little halo around the stone, what a great idea. I'm a bit confused as to the size of the pear... does anyone have pics of diamond pendant necklaces on?, so I could get a sense for sizes? Just wondering. Update: Never mind, mscushion, how about you do a simple search for "pear pendant" and find some delicious pics??? silly me.
