Happy Holidays! I ordered a diamond from Blue Nile and it should arrive sometime this week. Incredibly, I found the diamond had been owned by a forum member in these posts: http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=83695 http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=83926 How I can contact member KismetSky to visit about this diamond? I am exicted to see this stone, especially knowing it is a J color and most sales people I have talked to have pushed me towards a whiter diamond. I tried to work on the Blue Nile sales person over the phone on a reduced price, since the current price is the same as what KismetSky paid back in April of 2008! You would think with the economy and the diamond being in inventory for so long the vendor would want to move it. No luck. The choice was between the J color stone: http://www.bluenile.com/certs/2047/AGS8244404_zoom.jpeg and this one, which I have on hold until I can see the stone I ordered in person: http://www.bluenile.com/certs/1997/AGS9886703_zoom.jpeg What do you think, is the J color stone worth the extra $800? |

The J stone is larger than the I stone, so naturally it will cost more. I'd rather have I color than J if the sizes were the same, but since the J is larger, it would be personal preference as to whether greater size or color would be more desirable. As far as the price of the J stone goes, be glad they are selling it at the same price as in April. Some diamond prices have gone up in that time. There is no way to contact members other than posting here like you did. Welcome and happy holidays to you, too!

If he is lurking though he might see this and respond. ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be... - Stephanie M Thorn |
