I was browsing on this site: http://www.finewatergems.com/garnet.html   and I found this amazing stone. It looks like the sun. I would buy it now if I had the extra money. I will definetly put it on my wish list. I did not know garnets came in this color. It is a 1.46 carat spessartite garnets.

I don't know much about stones, but might the vivid color be due to the position of the lighting?

I don't know about the lighting. I found another similar garnet on another site and it looks just as bright just a different color. Maybe someone else will know more about the lightting

Color change garnet 1.68 cts.

It's beautiful and garnets can be that blinding and sparkly.  I'd say this one would be dynamite in real life.

That spess does look like the sun, what a "hot" stone!  I love mandarin spessartite garnets.
