Hello PSers,

Have any of you come across this Alfred Angelo dress (2032)?  It resembles a couple Romona Keveza and Demetrios dresses that I have seen and loved.  However, I think the AA dress will be more wallet-friendly  and still captures the styling I like.

Here is a link to the AA dress:
http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=3f17c91e-0c9d-45e1-8aa1-e209a5ad879c&categoryID=32e5a88c-cbf1-498f-afcf-dbfca138c5d3&pg=1

I am curious to see what it looks like in real life.  It seems pretty on the website....

Okay, if you are curious about the other dresses, they are below.
This is the Romona Keveza dress: RK832

I can't paste the Demetrios dress (1236), it is a few years old, maybe from around 2004 or 2005.

Anyway, if you have encountered the AA dress, tell me about it.

I have seen that dress in person!  A friend tried it on when shopping for wedding gowns.  It is pretty nice in person, but definitey not as full underneath as the other dresses you are comparing them to.  If you want the fullness at the bottom perhaps you could wear one of those puffy tulle slips (not sure of the "professional" name for it right now, haha), but you would have to find that separately or see if AA could even order/provide one for you.  That dress actually fit pretty similarly to AA's style# 1148 (which was my dress oddly enough), but is definitely more off the shoulders.  I thought it was very pretty though, and would most definitely be more wallet friendly!

I tried it on.  The skirt isn't nearly as full, but boy is it nicer on the wallet!

I like 1148 too.  In fact, I searched for it on PS and found some pictures (one was EricaR's).  It is in the running too...though I am still in my research phase. .  If anyone has pictures wearing it, would you mind posting them?

I adore that dress, though I haven't actually seen it in person. Actually, when it came out with the rest of the Spring 09 styles, I kicked myself a bit for buying my dress already. Can't go back now. I kind of want to try it on, but I haven't, because why try on something I have no chance of ever getting?

I did try on 1148 a while ago and thought it looked lovely! It looks to be a little more A-line and I think more similar to the RK dress.

Thank you everyone.  These are encouraging comments about the dresses.  I haven't started to try on dresses, so I am getting excited.

I've tried to find a few pictures that show the entire dress to give you more of an idea about the lack of fullness at the bottom in particular.  For me it was perfect though because I specifically didn't want any beading.  I have a couple, sorry I don't have any pics from just trying the dress on or anything, I'm not sure where those went!

I'm sorry I forgot to mention these are all pics of the Alfred Angelo 1148 style!

Last one, hope it gives you a rough idea!  This one is from the side, and it was a little breezy out so that's why the train and dress are kind of "puffed out" if you will.  I didn't wear anything underneath to give it more fullness.  My dress was also a sz12 if that helps at all!  Happy dress shopping though, it's such an exciting time!!

FutureELK,
You look beautiful!  Thank you for posting your pictures.  You know, I was envisioning something much straighter with less movement, but it looks like your dress had some nice "swish" to it.  I like it...it might be just the right amount of fullness.  Hmmmm...very curious about AA 2032 now.

Please do post pictures if you try it on! I've been dying to try it on, so maybe seeing it on you will be enough to get my fix, and I won't have to try it on and second-guess my current dress choice.
