I have a friend I haven't spoken with in ages who just sent me a message on IM. We were chatting for a while when relationships came up, and I mentioned that BF moved down to Charlotte to be with me. We're not engaged or near engaged, we're not living together, we're just giving this a shot in the "real world". I'm very used to getting really negative comments from people, saying I need to tell him to "give me a ring or get out" or that I need to "stop wasting the few years I have to play around."

So you can imagine what a relief when my friend says, "Good for you. People don't understand sometimes that you just can't imagine your life without the other person. Good for you for recognizing it, and good for both of you for taking a huge chance."

It made me remember just how amazing my relationship actually is, and how lucky I am to have my BF. And it made me remember just why I love this particular friend so much.

Hey, I used to live in southwest Charlotte! I can't imagine how the place has changed in the past 10 years since I moved back to NJ. God, how I miss southern winters! I lived at the corner of Arrowood, in Coffee Creek, Arrowood Crossing, and the other place right at the light...great hot tub there!

That was really sweet of your friend. I wish you the best of luck!

That's great princesss! Kudos to you both for doing what was best for your relationship! Lord knows I had my fair share of objections when I told my family I was moving to be closer to my BF. But I thought, "Oh well!!!" I needed to give it a real shot. And here were are almost 7 years later!

I'm proud of you!!!
