Is that the engagement ring is taking longer than anticipated to be made. We were given a 4-6 week estimate. Saturday will officially mark the 6th week, but the jeweler has been unable to find the right half moons to compliment my OEC, so if they didn't arrive in today's shipment of stones, I may have to wait for a larger pair to be cut down to accomodate my ring. Since we decided on a June 13, 2009 wedding, we've already started planning and made all the announcements to friends and family. I was really hoping to have the ring when we went back to Kansas to visit his family for the holidays (we're from the Bay Area), but there's a good chance that won't happen. Bummer. On the up side, planning seems to be going quite smoothly. We've got almost all of the "big" items taken care of (just waiting for contracts to be sent to us), and making decisions has been ridiculously easy. It almost makes me nervous. At this rate, I'll have all but some minor details taken care of within the first 2 months of planning! |

Aw Parrot I am sorry!  That kind of happened to me, when we bought the diamond we were told it would be done by Dec. Well, it wasn't done by the end of January/early Feb and so I didn't end up actually getting my ring until Valentine's Day which turned out to be romantic, but it was hard waiting!  Anyway, sounds like everything is on track so far, keep up the good work! Have I seen your dress? If not, please post a pic I love seeing the dress!
