I don't like beer at all but was recently turned on to Fruli (Strawberry flavour) and Pecheresse (Peach flavour).

ETA:  if anyone can direct me to where I can find these Belgium beers in NY, I'll love you forever!

I like Woodchuck in the Amber flavor (I think that's what it's called) it tastes like a yummy apple cider. I also like some of the lime flavored one's they make now. Hubby buys a raspberry beer every once in a while and it bubbles like champange

but, i'd prefer a nice red wine...

There is a fun microbrewery here in town and I love splitting a beer with my DH every once in awhile.  I love to try suggestions/recommendations friends give me to check out. hehe  I think those fruity Belgium beers are delicious, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods sells this wonderful Raspberry Beer by Lambic, like a dessert; I don't have those too often though. hehe

Gwen, you're lucky you're in the UK.  You can drink (Lindeman's) Pecheresse all the time!  Please tell me you'll try it?!  I'm trying to find it in NY so Harriet can try it too.

Haven't heard of it before now, but I will make it a point to find it (what is it? ) and give it a try, promise! Even if it is beer.

Now, cider, on the other hand...

I bet it is Mrs. Salvo! hehe  It tastes like Raspberry sorbet to me!  I am like you, I like red wine better but it is always fun to try a beer every once in awhile though.

Lindeman's Pecheresse is a Belgium peach beer.  It is similar/related to the Pêche sold in the US but I don't think they are exactly the same beer; the Pecheresse has an ABV of 2.5%, but American BeerAdvocate gives Pêche an ABV of 4.0%.

It doesn't taste anything like the typical beer and doesn't have that wheaty aftertaste.  It's really good!

Me!  I love beer.  My favorites are the ambers and the nut browns.   I always have 4 or 5 different kinds of beer in the fridge.

I like it every now and then.  I like Pacifico with Mexican food and Xingu with most any kind of food.  Beer is surely not my favorite beverage.  And no, there is no way I could drink a 6 pack.  I would be sick, sick, sick!

I enjoy all sorts of beer. My favorite is Hefeweizen though. I wasn't a huge beer drinker until I met FI, he's responsible for my love of beer now.

I was raised in Ireland and am now studying for my degree in Holland - so I'd be an outcast if I didn't drink beer! I live right beside the Grolsch brewery here in Holland, so it tastes great in the pubs here, but it doesn't seem to travel well, so I never drink it when I'm home in Ireland. I love weissbeer, especially in the summer, and around this time of year there's a great Bok Beer festival here. Love that every now and then, but one glass is enough. Around Oktoberfest time, towards the end of the day, all beer starts to taste great! I was in Anaheim in August, and we visited a restaurant that had some locally brewed beers that tasted pretty good. I'm moving to California in January with FI so I'm looking forward to trying some more of those!

but can you do a 6 pack?
Would that be 6 American cans of beer (which is equal to about 2 Canadian beer)? Shouldn't be a problem. When we are in the US..we drink beer when we run out of water..tastes about the same!! (why is it that they don't put the alcohol % on the can). It must be close to 2% (versus 6-7% here)..anyone know?

Try Kriek Lambic - the black cherry is great.  They have all sorts of fruit flavors, and they're yummy.  i've never had the ones you're talking about, but Lambic doesn't taste like beer at all!

Belgian beer -mostly lambic and blanche- for apéritifs (which we stock up on everytime we're in Europe, Mr. Kama flies for work often), and lagers/ales for hockey/poker nights.

We also have a massive beer glass collection - over 30 or so different glasses, so we drink our beer in it's respective glass

And for your other Q, I can TOTALLY down a 6 pack and then some ;)

Me! I love really dark beers--porters, stouts, etc. Also, I love bitter and really tasty ales. And occasionally I'll enjoy a lager...I guess I like all types! Yum!
