Unfortunately, according to public records, the judge did not allow in the probable severed business relationship between GIA and JKD, arising out of the Certifigate scandal, as both GIA and JKD fought it, tooth and nail. Now to see whether DeBeers applies "best practice principles" to JKD and eliminates their sight.

Wow - amazing Marty. Thanks for keeping us informed. Do you think more will come out regarding GIA and this stone? Is it possible if Julius Klein Diamonds (or an employee) did steal the diamond, that they would have submitted the stone to GIA as was, or repolished it a bit smaller and submitted it to GIA? In that case surely the jeweller has the right to supeona GIA for such information on +5ct pink diamonds submitted shortly after this time? Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |

Date: 11/25/2008 11:27:31 PM Author: Garry H (Cut Nut) Wow - amazing Marty. Thanks for keeping us informed. Do you think more will come out regarding GIA and this stone? If JKD gets a retrial, like it has a pending motion for, then all things are possible Is it possible if Julius Klein Diamonds (or an employee) did steal the diamond, that they would have submitted the stone to GIA as was, or repolished it a bit smaller and submitted it to GIA? Well, the jury found JKD guilty of conversion (theft), so who knows what happened. Evidently the cover-up with sercurity tapes killed JKD.. In that case surely the jeweller has the right to supeona GIA for such information on +5ct pink diamonds submitted shortly after this time? It is like GIA has unlimited resources expended continually to refuse to release information on the corruption, and who was involved. everything public on Pacer case # 3:06-cv-00371 , easy to set up an account but can run up a bill at 0.08 per page, as the lawyers tend to be long winded. https://ecf.ohsd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/login.pl I'll see if Andrey will put up the files I have, on the PS server, as I have limited bandwidth on my server. The court records are very interesting, as in letting the "cat out of the bag", as well as the GIA motions to surpress the (severed ?) relationship. GIA went to great lengths to "protect" JKD. Since the NY Federal prosecutors office is either in bed with GIA or else inept, the magnitude of Certifigate bribing (like HPHT as natural) will probably only come out if a Federal Prosecutor in a state other than NY takes the ball and runs with it. Did you see where GIA cancelled the 2009 GRC in San Diego? Marty Haske GG(GIA), Senior Member NAJA, ISA Appraisal Trained(past ISA), BS(MIT)/MS(MIT) |
