Hello my fellow June Brides, I have seen a running tally on spring brides and their checklists, so I thought I would start one for us June brides, since our weddings are only 7 months away, ahhh! Am I missing something important? Looking forward to meeting my fellow June brides-to-be ![]() |

Ooo, I'm in this group! Done: -Dress in closet -Venue -Menu (Don't ask why we did this so early...) -Photographer -Theme -Sent StD email To do: -Figure out flowers + decoration with our $200 budget. -Centerpieces (Anyone know where I can get Photo Trees or Wishing Trees for less than $5 apiece?) -Hotels (Thanks Dcgator for reminding me) -Book Pastor (FI's job) -Tux (Same) -Find DJ (SoCal for $700 for ceremony + reception. Somebody help...Please...) -Invites and Thank You cards (Know where. Must order.) -Favors (Same) -Gift Registry (Same) -Book Bakery (Same) -Book Hair + Makeup (Same) -Rings (Same) I'm saving stress by letting my sister and cousin wear whatever they want. Wow, I'm WAY behind everyone! My date isn't until the end of June, but still. The ONLY things I've done: Purchased my dress and veil. Taste tested wedding cake flavors Got my engagement ring re-set (a 2 month process) Picked out style for wedding band and priced it Looked at wedding bands for him, with fiance Found out catering prices and menu In the process of looking at places for both wedding and reception. Having a super hard time, thinking of going destination wedding to the one of the Sandal's resorts. There wedding packages are OUTRAGEOUSLY cheap, plus my family would get a vacation in the process. Anyone know anyone who's done the Sandal's thing?

This is going to be hard. I can tell. We've met with two so far and neither has been very good... Uhg. - BM dresses and GM tuxes. Omg bee I am the same way! Haha. We went and looked at wedding bands today and I think I figured out which one I want finally! I think I am going to go with a micropave one and get a plain engraved one to wear when I don't want something w/o diamonds. FI is insisting on getting the titanium (think it was titanium) wedding band since it was lighter weight and we works with computers so it drives him nuts to have something heavy on his hand. I hope it lasts as long as gold or platinum, but I am like ahh whatever it's his ring after-all if he likes it go with it! Anyway, we are getting darn-near countdown time, just need to keep saving money! Phew, hopefully we can save enough.

Sheesh, I'm way far behind everyone! Long story short, about a month ago, I mentioned I'd like to get married next year, and J mentioned he'd like a June or July wedding, so bam, it happened just like that! I'm actually still waiting for my e-ring (next week will be the 6th week of our 4-6 week estimate). June 13, 2009 Done: -Venue/Caterer (we're waiting to receive the contract, but our date is currently being held) -Bridesmaids selected (they're picking out their own dresses with no restrictions, other than if a white dress is chosen, it can't be floor length) -DJ booked -Dress ordered -Colors (very vague - anything "bright and vibrant") Almost Done: -Photographer (we're meeting with our strongest contender on Sunday...love what I've seen online, and the price is right, although he doesn't have much wedding experience...) To Do: -Menu -Invitations -Guest List -Book Florist -Hair/Make-up -Cake -Officiant (thinking of asking the friend who set us up) -Honeymoon -Rings -Rehearsal dinner -Register -Men's Suits (J's job - I don't care a thing about color) I'm sure there's a ton more to do, but luckily everything has been super easy so far, from choosing the venue, to the dress, to picking a date. So I'm either not that picky, or we've been very fortunate.

aww, poor Bee. But I am so right there with you. I was reading one of my many wedding books, appropriate named the "Book of Lists" and I thought I was going to have a freak out session right there on the couch. OMG, so much to do. On the brightside though, we have all our friends here to help us get through it, and we are getting married, yeah!

Sounds like everyone is doing great!!!!! We are planning a very small wedding Done List I have my dress The Venue Food and drinks are done We know what we want for flowers and where we will go for them. To Do list BM dress's and FG dress (my teenage daughters are my bridesmaids and our youngest is our FG. We are going shopping for something off the rack at Nordys this spring) Get FI's suit in for the tailoring it needs yet. FI's suit is dark navy I am hoping for dark Olive dress and my dress is Ivory/light gold Purchase various size large clear vases for water, river rock and floating candles to be placed in the area we will be standing to say our vows. I want to get a large oval area rug as well. We decided that out of all the areas at our venue (inside, outside) we could stand and say our vows. We would do it inside the mansion in a 3 season porch that has an old stone floor in it.It is all glass with rod iron window panes and looks out over the property. The sun and light that comes through into this area is gorgeous. You need to step up a step to get into it. It has large double french doors to enter. Our guest will be able to see us just fine. We will face them I still have not convinced anyone I know to run the music for us. Seems everyone is too shy. Not sure what we will do. This actually has me worried. Finish my DIY invites Book the officicant I am sure i am missing things that I need to do and as time nears I will think of them. This will be a pretty layed back affair though. The venue we choose is an old Mansion that really needs nothing. It has all the romantic ambiance we were looking for in a place to get married. Beautiful Light, romance, large windows, acres of flower grounds for guest to explore should they want to venture around. I only wish we could all stay overnight in it as well. However, they do not rent out the rooms for overnight. I am so excited it is January finally. The holidays had me even forgetting we are getting married. nice to not be sidetracked any longer.

I think I've handled most of the big things, but now I'm drowning in the details.Done: Ceremony venue Reception venue Caterer and menu Linens for reception Flowers (florist and proposed flowers) Cake (baker and cake design) Officiant Room blocks Photographer Honeymoon Honeymoon registry Wedding website Chosen and told wedding party Ordered dress Booked hair stylist Chosen place cards - still need to order and assemble Designed STDs, invites, etc. - waiting for all proofs next week Booked ceremony musicians Rehearsal dinner site chosen My wedding band ordered Still to do: Register in real stores (maybe this weekend - fun!!) Gifts for parents and wedding party Tuxes His wedding band Makeup and accessories Bridesmaid dress shopping w/one bridesmaid Buy wedding insurance (seriously, self, just do it already!!) Favors Finalize song list for ceremony Make a decision on reception music - piano player or iPod? Design ceremony (our officiant is a friend, so no pre-made script) Start on that last 5-10 pounds Finalize cocktail menu for reception Figure out the seating plan...I'm already dreading it! It's amazing how many little things need to be decided, arranged, ordered, etc. that you never even think to think of. After I got all the big things done I thought I could slack off for a while, but now I'm more stressed than ever! We're a little behind on the Save the Dates and my entire family is callng/emailing me every week asking about it. Seriously people, it's not like you don't know the date!!! lol![]() Anyway, I'm probably going to be looking for some advice on these things soon, so brace yourselves!
