HELP ladies....

Okay so FI and I decided to get married April 5, 2009. Which means I have to find a dress ASAP!! We are getting married right on the beach, so I'm not really looking for a "traditional" wedding dress. I had a more simple beachy wedding dress in mind. Does anyone have a suggestion for a designer, dress shop, ANYTHING in the N.FL Orlando area?

I live in jacksonville...but at this point I will drive.

thanks in advance ladies!!!

:)ILE

I live in Orlando and went to two of the top shops here, one on Park Avenue and one just off - and both were honestly lovely stores.  However, I needed a greater selection so I ended up going to C.C.'s bridal boutique in the St. Pete area.  I highly recommend it if it's not too far of a drive.

If you are set on Orlando, tell me your price point and I'll tell you some stores.

ILuvEmeralds - I live in Jacksonville too!! Have you tried Love Bridal Boutique @ Jax beach? They have lovely non-traditional and traditional dresses. There's also Jessica McClintock (spelling?) at the avenues mall.

You may also try looking at Michael's Formal Wear by the Town Center.

Good luck!

Hi! While I am getting married in North Florida (St Augustine), I didn't visit any bridal salons in the area. I found my dress in Orlando. The salon I was the most impressed with was Modern Bridal on E. Colonial (Highway 50), they had a very big selection. Lilly's Bridal was across the street and had a good selection of Maggie Sottero gowns. They are located in the "Vietnam/Chinatown" area, but don't let the appearance on the outside scare you!!! If you are looking for a high end designer gown ($$$$) be sure to visit "The Collection" on Park Avenue in Winter Park. Try to make a day out of your trip to Orlando, there are so many salons it will take you all day to visit all of them! Good luck! Yay North Florida brides!

Have you looked at JCrew dresses?? I think they are perfect for a beach wedding! I know they aren't in stores, but you can order online :)

The Sabine is beautiful I think and really reasonably priced. The Genevieve is gorgeous too.

Wow- thanks Thomperchik, those are great suggestions. I LOVE Jessica McClintock, so I should definetly head there. Jax Beach is near my work in PVB so that's a great option too!! Thanks so much!! :)

I second the Modern Bridal vote -- Louann there did my alterations and she is THE BOMB.

I actually bought my dress at Jon's Bridal in Tampa, it's the largest dress warehouse in the state. They are great because the dresses are much cheaper because they buy in volume AND you take your dress home that day. They normally carry around 200-300 dresses in every size at any time. Check them out at www.jonsbridal.com.

Good luck!
