This forum is quite intimidating and confusing for newbies. Perhaps we can create a "start here" on the top nav or a sticky in the Rocky Talky forum?

Many people post up requests for stone suggestions and don't even know the basics. Perhaps they would be helped with a step by step on what to read. The "What Diamond to Buy?" article in the knowledge section is helpful, but doesn't include information on how to pick out round diamond online for eg. HCA as a selection tool, asking for an idealscope, difference between EGL and GIA, look at dimensions not carat weight, etc - some of the suggestions are here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/a-warning-for-newbies-please-dont-buy-a-rb-stone.174194/#post-3178770?hilit=sticky#p3178770

Hi Webdiva,

We tried to this with the helpful thread here https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/helpful-threads-archive.72078/

But i see you point of maybe making a thread just for newbies like "Read me First"

It might be helpful to make a thread to suggest a number of FAQ to put in the main thread. Then have the admin create it and lock it and sticky it to the top. The Helpful thread is great, but it is lengthy and confusing for newbs. There could also be a link to the left of the search saying "New? Read me first"
