Oooooh! Since it's the cool thing to be doing I wanna share my wishlist

I looooooooove this Daniel K one ...

And call me pathetic, but I also adore Britney Spears' engagement ring:

Notice a split-shank them? I adore them, but ultimately will do without because I don't know how you'd wear a wedding band next to it, and I will want to wear my wedding band, and have them sit flush together.


So I'm pretty committing to this for my engagement ring one day ... it has the pave/bead set band, very slim and dainty like I love, and is a compromise between the split-shank and being able to wear a wedding band. (As long as I can get the band to fit under there ... hmm ... that's the next challenge.)

Am also quite partial to the Michael B design, but with an emerald cut ... cept I've never tried one on or seen it in person.

I also have back-up idea of looking for a platinum ring with a heart-shaped pink (her fav colour) sapphire - because I know she would love that, and partly because I want her to be surprised when I give her a Tiffany e-ring... or would it be better to get the promise ring, e-ring, wedding band and eternity ring from Tiffany?

While I wouldn''t personally be dying for one, I think the idea of a promise ring is cute, and it''s sweet that you want to give her one. The one you''ve picked is pretty and especially so because it comes in the little blue box (yes I do show a slight reverrence to Tiffany''s) but if you are sure that you will give her a Tiffany''s engagement ring, I''d save the Blue Box Experience for the engagement ring.

Not that the ring you picked out isn''t so very pretty, but the engagement ring may have a bigger "bang" if the Blue Boxiness is a surprise. If she really likes pink sapphires I think that would be a beautiful idea for a promise ring (and you can probably get something bigger or more intricate, if that is her style, if its not a diamond and not tiffanys) or if you are feeling more creative, maybe even a promise pendant, earrings etc ...
