Few months ago I posted about a 4.55 carat unheated round blue sapphire from Burma in the thread linked below:

The round shape makes the sapphire brilliant, but limits the setting choices. I already have several micro pave color stone rings, a smaller blue sapphire in a Princess Diana type cluster setting and also 3-stone rings. After months of looking for a unique setting online and in local stores, I finally decided to order a platinum hand made, Sebastien Barier octagon Art Deco inspired pierced setting, through 66 Mint. I would like to thank 'asscher girl' for introducing me to Sebastien Barier and 66 Mint. I would not have known about the designer, nor the local dealer, if I have not read her posts about her gorgeous, and now famous, Sebasatien Barier ring. After a long wait of around 2 months, I finally received the ring just before Christmas. I took pictures with both a point and shoot Canon and my iPhone5. I have trouble capturing the true color of the sapphire. The iPhone captures the color better, but cannot get sharp closeups without a macro function. Here are pictures taken inside and outside, in the sun and in the shade. The color shows best in the sun.
