Hi everyone, I'm new here but LOVING the great pics and helpful info that everyone is posting! Now that I just got engaged, I can't resist sharing pics... Here is my new e-ring - a Maevona Jura two-tone setting with platinum shank and 18k rose gold basket. It truly lets the light into the diamond and really sparkles from every angle! When I first opened the box, I was a little worried about the prongs being too thin, but after doing a little research and looking at all the fantastic pics on PS I feel like they are perfect. Not too dainty and not too bulky. I really love Maevona's work. I must have tried on every single style in the Scottish Islands collection. So pretty! The rose gold basket **REALLY** makes the stone pop white and bright. Here are the stone specs: 1.74 ct Round Brilliant H Color SI2 7.58 - 7.61 x 4.82 mm Table: 58% Depth: 63.5% Crown Angle: 36.5 Size 6.5 http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-new-maevona-e-ring-t170943.html

We picked out the ring last summer/fall, and it was finally presented to me this weekend (disguised as a secret santa present from one of my girlfriends at our slightly belated secret santa get-together)! It's a 2.05 carat I/SI1 from BGD. It's absolutely gorgeous and totally white (I was never allowed to see it in person and I was really worried about it - but apparently for absolutely no reason!). It's so sparkly and glittery! It also appears to be completely eye clean - I have given myself a headache looking for the inclusions and can't find any anywhere. I'm obsessed! I have the vendor pictures and some iphone hand shots, but I'm planning a photo shoot with a real camera as soon as we get home! this is the link to the stone: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/2.047-i-si1-round-diamond-ags-104047808003 Oh, and the setting is the novela pave, but with a non-peg truth head instead of the regular novela head. I love it! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/engaged-with-2-05-i-si1-bgd-blue-t170942.html

My brand new fiancé gave me this gorgeous ring over the weekend. I picked out the loose stone and the setting a few months ago, but this is the first time I have seen them together and I am completely in love!!! The setting and diamond are by Henri Daussi, and the halo part of the setting was made to fit around the diamond perfectly. No gaps and no spaces. The setting is 18kt palladium WG, rhodium plated, and 0.60ctw. The diamonds end at 4 and 8 o'clock. I don't know the exact specs on the center stone because the certificate is still with the appraiser. But from what I can remember it is G/VS1. I think the diamond is around 1 ct. I'll post back with the corrected specs if I need to. The diamond is very interesting, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get a good picture of it yet. I'm going to try a photo shoot with a real camera later on. It is a cushion, but it has step cuts in it like an emerald or a criss-cut. I can't say enough how much I adore this ring! They did such a good job on it!! They did everything I asked and set the diamond nice and high for me. The setting itself is high too so that I can pair almost any wedding band with it that I want. My ring size is 4.5 for reference! I apologize if the pictures are sideways....I'm still trying to figure this whole mac thing out. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/henri-daussi-cushion-halo-e-ring-t170979.html

Sorry about the terrible photo taken on my phone! It is a 2.62 ct pear tanzanite in a diamond halo (21 stones 2pts each). I love how it shows such different blues and purples in different lighting. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-tanzanite-engagement-ring-t170999.html

I thought my e-ring should finally get the thread it deserves! I've had it for about 6 months, my choice after getting engaged, but was always a bit embarrassed because it was set so high. I like low-set rings, but I wanted a flush fit wedding band, so it had to be somewhat high, but originally it was set about 1.5mm above the setting, and I hated the profile view. I've just had it reset lower, and now it's perfect! The stats: 0.58 D VS2 Marquise (GIA) 8.83 x 4.39 x 2.59 mm Table 60%, depth 59.0%, G/VG Polish/Sym Channel set palladium setting http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-0-58-marquise-d-vs2-e-ring-t171052.html

As many of you know, I got my e-ring before I discoverd PScope. Admiring all of the beautiful rings here, I started to dislike my ring. I want bigger, different shape, better cut, etc. My husband and I have always talking about upgrading from a 2ct to a 3 ct or maybe even bigger someday...so I have been drooling over all of these monsterous cushion cut rings here, I love, love bebe's ring and yennie's old ring. After being married 7 years and having kids, we just purchase a much bigger home and a bigger diamond is not in the budget right now. Just before the holidays, I stopped by my jeweler to have my rings cleaned and the same time, a lady was picking up her new ring. It was a halo princess cut with traps on the side...wow! I really liked it, she let me try it on and I loved it. I couldn't stop thinking about it...so much that I had to have that ring. It's been 6 weeks and look what I got! My original princess - 2.01 G color .30 traps on each side 5 rows pave platinum ring size 5 3/4 (since the band is thicker than my e-ring, I had it made 1/2 size bigger sizing beads) I apologize for the not so great photos, I have a new DSLR camera and I haven't yet learned how to use it for macro photos. And for the handshots, iPhone photos will have to do for now. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-princess-got-a-new-setting-t171058.html

It's done! Talk about FAST! And, I think it will be here TOMORROW already! Jonathan really had a great solution for my center stone quandary...if I want a bigger center I can trade this one in but this gives me the opportunity to have the ring completed and on my finger so I can see things w/my own eyes. Everyone at GOG was super helpful. Marie walked me through all the steps and of course I love Jonathan to death..he suffered through all my Facebook messages and emails! I had a lot of help and support here and on FB too, and I greatly appreciate it. I've been thru all the five stone threads I could find several times. Yssie in particular was a help w/her drawings and explanations of things for me. My dream setting will come later, after I've decided on the center for sure. This is a stock setting from Unique Settings of New York. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/packrat-s-graduated-avc-five-stone-from-gog-t171141.html

Hi everyone, I have been lurking PS for a long time, and now I finally have something to share! I got engaged this weekend (!). My fiancee proposed with a custom ring that he had made by a small company that does mostly wholesale business, but does custom work for those with a personal connection (not a PS vendor). I knew I wanted a cushion and that I wanted the band to be a subtle yellow gold, for something different as well as the fact that I wear a lot of yellow gold jewelry - but with pave to keep it looking modern. I knew I didn't want a halo because I didn't want to distract from the center stone. I fell in love with a couple different rings I found by searching the PS forums, one custom piece that someone had made by ERD and another rose gold Ritani cushion setting (both several years ago). I don't remember the PS'ers names right now, but the custom one appeared to have created quite a controversy because it was based on *another* PS'ers custom ring (hopefully time has healed those wounds by now!). What I ended up with is pretty much exactly what I wanted - a cushion with double rows of pave for a band which is wider than most pave but still maintains a "delicate" look. The center stone is a cushion modified brilliant, 2.25 G VS1 (GIA cert). The dimensions are 7.84 x 7.47 x 5.02 mm. Excellent polish, excellent symmetry, fluorescence none. I picked it out myself out of a handful of diamonds the vendor selected within the price range. I found I have a pretty good eye for inclusions, so VS1 was as far as I could go. The inclusion is a "cloud" which I could see under the loupe but not with my naked eye. Given that the stone is set against a yellow gold band (white gold basket of course), the G color was not a problem for me. My ring size is 4.75. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-new-custom-2-25-cushion-pave-e-ring-t171129.html

I'm finally married and able to wear my wedding band! It is a 7 stone made up of F/G VS 7 pointers. For reference, my solitaire is .51 G VS2 H&A. I know PS "rules" dictate that I should have chosen a small, slim band, but I just fell in love with the size of these stones! I love that it is substantial enough to be worn alone or as part of a collection of stacking rings. I didn't realise just how dirty these rings were until I uploaded the pics. I will be back with more as soon as I have cleaned them! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-7-stone-wedding-band-t171178.html

My upgrade came (a lot) sooner than expected! See the link below for the backstory. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/rockytalky/what-would-you-do-upgrade-halo-add-bands-t161279-30.html My very new husband and I (about 3 weeks we have now been married) are in a much better financial position than when he proposed, and rather than have me wait until later in life to upgrade my engagement ring he encouraged me to do it now. I can't even explain how much it means to me that he has encouraged and supported this, I know a ring is just an object, but it, and his sacrifice means so much to me for reasons that I can't even fathom! I now have to admit that I'm now a Tiffany lover because I couldn't bring myself to buy anything but. I spent literally under 5 minutes picking my ring, which is quite funny considering the years I spent thinking about wedding bands and the like!! I just walked in and chose what visually pleased me, I tried on 3 rings but each time leaned back towards the ribbon. I had the budget to go up to about .90ct with higher specs but I felt that the ribbon ring, with all the "fruit" suited my personality better, looked bigger on my hand anyhow and looked more unique which is ultimately what I've always wanted, I don't like having a ring that is too similar than the next person. So there you have it, I am totally satisfied, my set is now perfect in every way, I absolutely love it, couldn't be happier and wouldn't change a thing! It's the perfect style, size, everything and it feels so ME. My only problem now is I am too scared to wear it in front of family and friends, they will wonder how we could have afforded this straight after the wedding and they will think that we wasted so much money and that hubby caved in to my nagging... and that I'm horrible hehe all of which are true, (ahem) but anyway, I'm really not sure when or how I'm ever going to break this news smoothly! Luckily, I have a less judgmental forum like Pricescope to show off my happiness in the meantime Get ready for a tonne of photos... center stone is H VVS2. Whilst I was waiting for my ring to be resized I searched for ribbon rings on the internet and didn't find a lot of photos so I'm including as many different angles as possible for any others who may be interested in the ribbon ring! (more to come) http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-new-71ct-tiffany-ribbon-ring-t171252.html

My half eternity ring was purchased 20 years ago, in Jerusalem, and it's still one of my favourite rings. It sparkles like mad, and very easy to wear. Seven 8 pointers, D IF. My mother-in-law is a aperfectionist, and when she orderd that ring oir me, she insisted on the best!

I'll have to be back when she says I do, and have a picture of her wearing it!!! Thanks for the time everyone puts in on these forums. Glad I finally found the right diamond on Blue Nile after dealing with local jewelers showing me subpar diamonds for too much money. 1.00 carat, GIA graded I color, VS2 clarity, Very Good cut grade. (Per Facetware may have been an excellent cut if the girdle was 4% instead.) (I can't see any noticeable inclusions at all, even with a 10x loupe, I'm very happy about that.) Excellent polish and symmetry, none culet, strong blue fluorescence. Medium - slightly thick faceted (4.5%), 57% table, 62.7% depth. 2.0 on the Holloway Cut Advisor. Center diamond dimensions are 6.32 - 6.37 x 3.98 mm. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/finally-found-the-right-engagement-ring-t171260.html

So I've been following everyones posts and now I'm able to join in!! I'd always looked at Tiffany & Co. rings online and though that they were gorgeous! I always thought that they would be way out of our price range but when we went into the store they were so helpful and considerate of our budget. The consultant worked with us and brought in many rings and was finally able to find one that worked with our style and budget! Center stone: .72ct H color VS2 clarity Side stones: 10 side stones .37 tcw Metal Platinum I absolutely love it and am so thankful to my fiance for taking such time and consideration to pick out the perfect ring! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-engagement-ring-t171271.html

So... she said "yes"! And... I caught it on camera. On our anniversary we planned on going to a park and using a camera and a tripod to take some fun photos of ourselves. Since I'll be out of town for our actual anniversary I convinced her to do it a couple days in advance. Once we got to the park, I set up the camera and used her for a test shot in several different locations. Once I found a spot we liked I set the tripod up and connected the intervalometer to the camera. I set the timer to take a photo every second until I stopped it. Now for the details of the ring. I worked with Victor Canera to create this beauty. The stone details: 1.39 H SI1 GIA certified Triple Ex It's really hard to capture the beauty, but here is my attempt: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/1-39-ct-victor-canera-emilya-halo-t171276.html

Long story short, I found a diamond I was interested in when searching for someone else on Rocky Talky. I had Jonathan at Good Old Gold call it in for me so he could analyze the cut for me, as well as check out the strong blue fluorescence. My original 1 ct. diamond had med. blue which I didn't even know was there for 25 years, so I was not afraid to check out a stone with SBF since they can be a good buy. And in fact, I think it is an amazing natural feature that should command a premium (in stones with no negative effects), not a discount! I was worried because this diamond was not as technically perfect as my 1.6 H&A stone, but after viewing Jon's video, I just couldn't see a difference. It is a GIA Ex/Ex/Ex and is a 1.58 G VS1. It is just a tiny bit smaller than the 1.63 which is actually perfect since I really wanted close to 1.5 when I first started looking. So when I decided to switch to this stone, I also changed to the Vatche U-113 which is the best Tiffany repro available today, in my opinion. the diamond is set at a medium height and is not too low or too high. I considered the best version at the time when I got the Leon, but I didn't love it enough to choose it at that time. I am glad I waited because I am sure I'd be changing again! I hope you never see me on here again changing my e-ring! I think the classic Tiffany is the best for me, and I can now enjoy thinking about other projects! My primary wedding band will still be the Tiffany Legacy 2mm, but I am open to another band for variety! Sorry I am not a good diamond photographer...diamonds are always SO much more beautiful in person! I do need to thank Jonathan for his infinite patience with me! He is just one special guy! And many thanks to Lynda who helped me with the setting, and the whole staff at GOG, too! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/new-1-58-g-vs1-from-gog-in-vatche-u-113-tiffany-repro-t171351.html
