If I understand correctly, you would have had to sacrifice that gorgeous Kretchmer setting for the budget to accommodate at 1.30ct stone, right? If it were me, I absolutely would not be disappointed or upset with that decison. The "wow" factor is definitely still there with the 1.00ct. It''s really beautiful - she''ll get TONS of compliments!! Now, stop second-guessing yourself!

ktrkate08 - it came down to either a gold kretchmer with 1.30 carat or get the smaller stone in platinum
the first thing she said is she likes platinum so i decided on that, thanks for making me feel better though!

i just hope she likes it b/c originally she wanted a 1.5 carat but since kretchmers settings are so expensive i could only get her a 1.00
hopefully she wont notice

The only thing that she is going to notice is how completely stunning the ring is...oh, and maybe you down on one knee!

keepingthefaith & violet - i must say when i first seen some tensions i was turned off by them also so we continued looking at traditional settings, until we came across a steven kretchmer tension and the quality of them was uncomparable (imo) to others. thanks for the good luck wish also, im gonna need it!
