Size 7/8 with 1.75-2.0 carat round cut or cushion halo

I can't decide what ring I want, my boyfriend is so annoyed because he would have proposed by now but I cannot make up my mind.

I have always loved the cushion cut halo setting. But now he has made me see the round cut may be better if I want a bigger look.

Hoping some of you can help me make this decision a little easier!

Finding a well cut cushion diamond will be hard unless you are shopping with maybe one or two PS vendors. Cushions will face up smaller for their weight beccause they are deeper. If you love cushions, then I'd look at Good Old Gold. But if you don't care about the shape, go for an ideal cut round and you can put it in a cushion halo.

Ritani has at least three different styles of cushion halos for round stones (those are white gold prices but you can see the platinum prices):

I would go for an excellent/ideal cut round (or an antique cut stone) in a cushion halo. Here are a few beautiful examples:
