I'm trying to decide if i want a 4 prong or 6 prong e-ring. It would be nice to see how others 4/6 prong plain band ring looks like :)

I feel that on a smaller size round stone, a 4-prong would make it looks square, while the illusion is much less on larger size, but I don't know the magic cutoff number.

Here are my two 4-prong rings (size 5); pave band is a 1.9 carat (8.00 * 7.95 * 4.82), plain band is a 2.73 carat (8.97 * 9.00 * 5.56); hope it helps!

Here's mine. Like you, I also was undecided about four prongs or six, so I ended up going with four double claw prongs.

I'm a six prong girl myself, though I do really like the double four prong settings.

I'm a six prong person myself. I've tried 4 prong, and it's just not as pleasing to my eye for rounds. However I've seen plenty that were knock it out of the park stunning.

I had a four prong before, but changed it for a 6 prong. I am very happy with my decision :)

no pics to share but something i noticed is 4 makes the diamond looks squarish
6 makes the diamond looks round and bigger.
also, if your color isnt that white, then its best to have 6 so the side view will not be so obvious. space taken up by 6 is bigger, expose of diamond side profile is smaller.

My ring was actually originally a whopping 8 prongs, but my jeweler had them custom make it a 6-prong! I love the security of the 6-prongs and agree with akoya that 6-prongs compliments a RB's round shape.

Your ring looks like a sunflower! The diamond, the brown center part! And the prongs are the petals hugging the center.
