I have a new blue stone which I''d like to set, and I need something with a very low profile if I want to wear it comfortably to work without destroying it.

I originally thought bezel setting since those are easy to make very low and protective, but now I''m worried it might darken the stone too much.

Anyone have very low profile prong settings for solitaires that they could share? Bonus points for two tone! Thanks so much!

Here''s the spinel I''m hoping to set:

MTG I just saw this (and was wondering what you were planning on doing with your lovely Barry spinel). Are you still looking at low settings?

I had my jeweler make me this one:

And this sits pretty low too:

And of course, there''s the BGD Grace - which is superlow, and very simple and classic.

I wouldn''t bezel the stone however.

Mine''s not a two-tone or even a colored, but it''s got a low profile!

Here''s a (slightly blurry - sorry about that) profile shot.

Take a look at Sholdt on Pearlmans website, they have a few.

I can''t really show you a picture but I just want to say that stone is beautiful. I think a simple, low setting would really bring it out.
