These are all georgous! SPARKLES!
![]() Are there other settings besides the prong and channel set for square/rectalgular stones? I somehow feel prong doesn''t look so great with the squarish stones (clings to clothes) and the metal in channel set sometimes over shadow the stones. What are your opinions? Please share more pics. |

I have a princess cut shared prong eternity band.
Here''s one pic and the link to my thread that has more pics. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-facets-shared-prong-eternity-band-t81337.html I am not wearing it full time yet (Wedding''s not til Sept.) But I have worn it for a few days. I haven''t felt it snag on anything, although when I look at it really close or with my loupe, I can see some tiny threads stuck in some of the prongs. I could feel the prongs at first, but got used to them very quickly. I was debating between this and channel set, but I chose this because its a little different and I like seeing the light hit the sides of my diamonds. As far as I know the only other way to set square stones in an eternity is called "bar set." I''ll try and see if I can post a picture....

Yep, I believe so... but I''ve never seen a princess cut eternity band where each diamond has its own prongs. I''ve seen rounds that do however, there are some here if you do a search. |

Po, your ring is so beautiful! I am always fond of Emeralds.
Who created it for you?A related questions: My engagement stone is 1.2 ct. And I have bracelets with 4.5 total ct (about .1 each) What do you think is the right proportion for the eternity? I want to it be significant enough so I can wear without the engagement ring, but won't over shadow it if wore together. What's your thoughts? Also, please keep the pics coming!!!

Thanks for the compliments girls!
I had it made by a small family business called M&S creations in Chicago, I do love it and the stones are mega sparkly and very well cut. My e-ring is 0.48ct and not that much bigger than my 0.35ct stones, but due to the angle of my engagement ring, it works well. However, I am hoping for my 10th anniversary to upgrade my ering to something in the 1.5-2.0ct range to wear with my 5-stone. Of course I won''t be parting with my current e-ring, I adore it too much to part with it. Besides, you can never have enough diamonds in my opinion. I would say for a 1.2, you could easily accommodate anything from 0.35 - 0.5 stone and it would look fab, but then my finger is a 5.75 so its all relative. I found stones within this range looked substantial and could stand on their own and not drown my e-ring. Can you post pics of your e-ring? |

Mia, I think your rings have great proportions!
Po, "anything from 0.35 - 0.5 stone" Do you mean each? or total? And Lauren, the eternity is georgous. And I also like the thin one very much (on the left). Very intereting. I found this great eternity I have to share. Leon Mege marquise eternity ring. Serious bling for serious $$$. (Sigh...)
