Hello Psers, after Jill S & lbbaber gave their excellent reviews about ID jewelry huggies ,I decided to order a pair .I ordered 2 ctw in 18 Kt WG .they arrived today .they are very white & sparkly and eyeclean ,I took cool fire pics of them .I was very happy until I put them on ! the diamonds only show from the side view ,the front view only shows the hoops themselves ,diamonds barely showing . so calling all huggie owners ,is this a problem with you too ? http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/idj-huggies-t167278.html

Here are my beautiful BGD martini studs in WG. I impulsively decided that these would make me a much better human being if I was the proud owner of 2 J BGD signature H&A diamonds! .44 VS2 and .43 SI1.
When I picked them up I was AMAZED at how bright, white and sparkly the J stones were! They were on fire in the sunlight! I am so very happy with my new earrings and I haven't taken them off except to clean them. Jamie and Denise were a real joy to work with and the whole selection and shipping process went very smoothly. Ah! Diamonds just make the world a nicer place

I just bought my first pair of diamond earrings. I'm so excited! They are pretty modest, as I just went ahead with my new RHR, but too cute to pass up! They are snowflakes, ready for the holidays. (Just under 3/4 inch). They're vintage silver, 0.50 ctw, (no stats). http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-first-pair-of-diamond-earrings-t167417.html

A month ago I decided to trade in my 0.68ctw F VS1 studs (also by BGD) to upgrade to slightly blingier 1ctw studs for daily wear. the original setting was screwbacks and the posts hurt my ears every time i put them on and removed them. it also took forever to screw them on securely... so this time around i am trying ones with la poussette backs. i have Phoenix to thank for walking me through this selection process ! Initially i was settled for J colored studs thinking they should be white enough for the given size, but since i have actually never seen J colored stones in real life, Phoenix just knew i would not be happy with them and talked me out of it with more options on BGD's website... I saw another pair of F colored ones (out of budget), then changed my mind to G colored ones (still out of budget), and eventually gravitated towards a pair of E colored SI1's (within the higher end of my budge), and even had these E colored ones on hold. then the night before i was supposed to remit payment, I spotted a newly added pair of H color VS2's on the website, well within my budget, with a great combination of color and clarity (white enough for this size and mind clean)... I immediately requested for them ! I had been working with the wonderful Jamie throughout this process, who was awesome in terms of answering my many questions, and was patient with me while i changed my mind several times on the diamonds. the earrings are now completed and I should be receiving them on Thursday ! here are the diamonds: 0.516ct H VS2 http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond/diamond-detail/?product_id=AGS-104054189035&utm_source=diamondse&utm_medium=search&utm_term=AGS-104054189035&utm_campaign=Diamond%2BListing 0.514ct H VS2 http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond/diamond-detail/?product_id=AGS-104054189034&utm_source=diamondse&utm_medium=search&utm_term=AGS-104054189034&utm_campaign=Diamond%2BListing Setting is 4-prong platinum with la poussette backs. I will see how i like these special backs ! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-bgd-1-03ctw-h-vs2-rb-diamond-studs-t167402.html

I just purchased these 1.43 ctw (.71 and. 72) for an insane price. I'm still pinching myself! Turns out the seller needed the money for personal expenses and she started low with no reserve. It was a huge risk for me to take as she had NEVER sold an item before. Yikes!
THis is an auction pic, I wasn't sure what to expect except she had an appraisal for SI, H-I studs. When I received them last week, I was blown away by the sparkle and I can see some arrows too! Woot woot! I immediately had them reset in Stuller 22641 3-prong with cute little heart earring backs 24203. |

Mili-Lani » 12 Nov 2011 05:34 OMG I just typed in the diamond specs and but my window closed….argh. Now I realized I can find the GIA reports online doh!
Ok here we go again. Quick summary – 2.42ctw diamond studs in a white gold four prong martini settings. Setting and one stone from GOG and the other stone from BGD. Jonathan is great to work with. This is my second transaction with Jonathan. A few years ago we bought an eightstar and he is still the same if not better - attention to detail, passionate about diamonds, willing to bend over backwards for the customer. I remember one of my calls with him and it was just to inquire about the diamond. He didn't rush me, answered all my questions and more, told me to hold while he looked at the stone under the microscope, etc. This is why I wouldn't hesitate working with him in the future and the reason why two of my friends got their erings from him. I also loved working with Denise. She is very personable. I contacted her after I found the stone from GOG and she kept an eye out for me. I contacted several other vendors but the stones they came back to me didn't have the specs and/or the right price. When you talk to Denise it's like you're best friends. She remembers every little detail about what you talked about before. She also works long hours, I remember getting an email from her into the wee hours of the morning. If I was in TX, we would be BFFs and talk about diamonds all day long. Stone 1: GOG http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/8516/ 1.18ct JI1 6.79 - 6.81 x 4.19mm AGS Cut Grade:Ideal AGS Light Performance:Ideal Optical Symmetry:Superior Polish:Ideal Symmetry:Ideal Fluorescence:None Lab Report:AGSLab Report #:104052929004 Width Percentage:56.34% Depth Percentage:61.82% Crown ∠:34.53°Crown Depth:15.04% Pavilion ∠:40.82° Pavilion Depth:43.11% Stone 2: BGD sorry I don't have the link =( - Denise if you could send it to me I will update this post! I originally wanted this: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/8472 but it got snatched up. Then I saw some stones on BGD they were perfect. But two bad things happened - The first, I didn't act fast enough and someone bought one of the stones and then in the same day, diamond prices jumped. I could have purchased one stone but I really wanted to buy a pair. Some time has passed and I just couldn't find matching pairs so I found the stone on GOG but again I waited too long and it was snatched up. So when I saw stone 1 listed above I acted fast. So onto the pics. Shoot. I was attaching pics but didn't realize that 4 was the max. Anyways, I have some 1.2ctw 3 prong martinis but am so in love with these. I like the added security of the 4 prongs. I like how they can sit close to my ear. I like how the basket setting looks when I see the setting but when I wear basket settings it just doesn't look right in my ears. Sarah at GOG recommended these and I never seen them before. I did a PS search and one person had these. I don't know how I missed that thread. I'm usually a lurker but with a baby, my internet browsing has diminished. I'll try to upload more pics. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/new-2-42ctw-studs-in-4-prong-martinis-from-gog-and-bgd-t168139.html

I can hardly wait to receive these!!!! They are supposed to arrive on Monday. I had initially purchased 2 stones from James Allen and was going to send them to WF to be set in the 8-prong settings. But once I contacted BGD to see if they had these settings, I was sold on their great customer service (Denise is awesome!) and was happy with the quote. And with the help of PSers, I decided to purchase the diamonds through BGD as well and I'm going to return the JA ones. The JA stones were a tad cheaper but I like having the option of BGD's upgrade policy if (when) I want to go larger in the future. Thank you mom2boys, DS, Amy's Bling, and Bosie for responding in the previous thread that I posted asking for help with that decision!!! The first diamond is .313 ct and the other is .316 ct and they are both F SI1 Signature Ideals. Brian confirmed that they are both eye clean and honestly I'm not really that picky about them because they're earrings. Here are the links to the stones: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/0.313-f-si1-round-diamond-ags-104054189097 http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/0.316-f-si1-round-diamond-ags-104054189103 So, now on to the pics. I think they are stunning but I do have one question - do you think that the prongs look too bulky or are the photos just making them look that way? I noticed that most of the earrings on the site have the little claw prongs. Would that not be possible for these earrings because the prongs are so close together? Or maybe the little claws would look weird for these earrings, the only 8-prong studs I've seen on PS have the round-ish prongs rather than the little claws. Anyways, let me know if I'm being crazy and over-thinking the prongs! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/glam-shots-of-my-new-bgd-8-prong-studs-what-do-you-think-t168902.html

I am very happy as I took a chance and placed my first order from blue nile for halo studs that I have been wanting to get for some time now. I contacted several vendors and could not beat the price and quality that blue nile offered especially with the 20% discount for the holidays. We drove to the beach house today and waited for delivery this AM and it arrived a short while ago. I am quite pleased with them and cannot wait to wear them! These are my very first stud earrings and I think they will become a staple in my jewelry wardrobe. As you all know by now I am perhaps the worst photographer of jewelry ever. Part of that could be due to the fact that I only have my smartphone to use and I apologize but I guess crappy photos are better than no photos. And I promise if I ever get a camera I will retake all my photos of my jewelry! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/halo-earrings-t169565.html

Here's a pair of Tacori Dantela FE643 stud earrings I bought for my wife as her birthday present. I decided to get her stud earrings so she can feel comfortable wearing them every day. She watches a lot of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills lately and admires all the jewelery that the ladies wear on the show. I knew she'll like this gift. Tacori FE643-55(mm) 18k white gold GIA cert center stones 0.62 and 0.65 ct EX EX EX H I1 I was a bit skeptical in buying I1 clarity diamonds but they turned out nicely. I patiently picked out two diamonds from an online site that I felt were clean. One of them did have a visible feather near the table but it disappeared in the contrast of the setting after the stone was mounted. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/tacori-stud-earrings-1-27ctw-h-i1-t169807.html

The occasion for the giving of these came exactly a month before Christmas ... and the giving itself occurred precisely at the halfway point between then and now ... and, well, on a lazy Monday immediately following the holiday, what better way to while away an hour than with a reveal! So, almost exactly 9 months to the day before my baby's birth, it was my birthday, and I had my ears pierced a few more times each, something I'd been wanting to do since I was, oh, a teenager. Carpe diem! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/for-her-birthday-circe-got-t156890.html I got little graduated star studs, which I adored - there were only two little problems. First, I felt sort of OCD about the fact that I couldn't wear any of my gold jewelry without it clashing a little bit, and, second ... the damned holes just would not heal. My doctor wasn't sure if it was because I was on blood thinners for the pregnancy, or because of a metal allergy. Soooooo ... when the time came to choose a baby present, while I dithered and dithered about what to get, my husband came up with a very sensitive idea on his own: earrings I wouldn't have to fuss about! So we decided to go for graduated bezels in yellow and rose gold to go with my beloved ID Jewelry milgrained bezel studs. My IDJ studs are 1.43 tcw, measuring 6.5 mm each. I researched and plotted kind of obsessively. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/rockytalky/75-to-26-to-12-for-graduated-bezel-earrings-y-n-t167711.html While the place where I got the piercing done, Venus by Maria Tash, does bezeled diamonds, they're kinda pricey for what you get, and the sizes seemed like they'd be disproportionately small compared to the IDJ ones. On the other hand, Brian Gavin Diamond's preset studs? Absolutely perfect. Though they were only offering the preset studs in WG at the time, they were really wonderful about accommodating my request that the studs be done in RG and YG ... and that they have fluorescence! And the graduation, for anybody thinking along similar lines, is perfect: .75 to .25 to .12 is a perfect line, visually. So without further ado .... http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/baby-bling-christmas-thread-bgd-baby-bezels-t169873.html

My mailman (the kind who pulls up out the front with a van lol) didn't give me these. This was an old-fashioned purchase, bought by my old-fashioned husband, for my 40th birthday, which is Monday. Unfortunately, the photos I thought were good enough turned out pretty meh. So, my apologies for that, I enjoy beautiful photos of lovely gems just as much as the next PSer. Perhaps when the light is better, I will try and take some better snaps. I've mentioned a few times in the past that I was craving a nice set of everyday diamond studs. I could never justify the cost, though. Then we moved across the country for my husband's job and I had to give up my job with no great prospects of getting another. Through a stroke of luck I still can't believe myself, I scored an interview two weeks after we got here and got the job! It's completely awesome, more interesting work and even better pay than what I had before. That, combined with the fact I have a significant birthday coming up (crossing one more decade line, yikes!) convinced me that I should just FINALLY go for it. So, these little beauties arrived on Friday from the always-wonderful folks at BGD! Dear PS community, after spending some time here I have decided to get diamond studs to celebrate the birth of my baby daughter. With all the great information found here I was able to get really nice pair that fitted my budget. And a vendor that absolutely met my expectations regarding customer service and safety: Brian Gavin! They shipped my earrings 2 weeks after order placement and they safely arrived here in Berlin yesterday. (please, forgive my mistakes, as English is not my mother tongue:)) I would like to share my joy with you, my dear fellow PS ers.. And of course pictures. Though I still need to find out how to post them. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-new-0-98-tcw-bgd-truth-studs-t170809.html

Last year, thanks to Whiteflash, I was able to have four pieces of jewelries made while I was away from my US home. I must say I am very fortunate to have found Whiteflash from Pricescope. First, their ACA’s are the best. Second, their customer service is unsurpassed. There aren’t many jewelers from whom we customers can trust enough to place order for special design jewelry worry-free while being half a world away. Communication was definitely smooth. Before I begin sharing my new jewelry pieces, I want to specially thank Chris from Sales for making these purchases possible and Joseph for his artistic and well-thought designs. Diamond Studs – Believe or not, I never wore earrings before. I did not get my ears pierced until last September. Before I decided which earrings to get, I asked my friend for advice. "If one can only have one pair of diamond earrings," I asked, "what would you get?" She said, “No doubt, studs.” I then did a search on PS. The entire thread of “Show me your studs” is mostly about studs. I guess I can’t go wrong with studs. Besides, they seem to be versatile enough - for everyday wear or for some days when I want some bling on my ears. As most earring newbies, my first questions were what carat size and what setting style. I wanted to get 1ct each, but prices had shot up greatly. I searched WF’s inventory and got myself the largest pair of ACA’s available under 1 carat each. These are what I ended up getting. 0.717 E SI1 A CUT ABOVE 0.720 E SI1 A CUT ABOVE For stud setting, I selected 3-prong Martini, because it seems to be pretty popular. Again, the choice seems safe. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/more-aca-s-earrings-and-eternity-ring-t171221.html

Today I received my first OEC diamonds - a pair of earrings with OEC and French cut diamonds by Jewels by Erica Grace. I LOVE these earrings. Here is a vendor photo and a not-so-great photo of me wearing them to give an idea of scale. Wow, I just love everything about these - the sparkle and the color and the clarity were all do well described by Grace who answered my additional questions (since I recently had a not-so-great experience with another internet vendor). 1.30 ctw --- .94 OEC and .36 French cut diamonds. Anyways, I love love love my new earrings and I think they go really well with my other jewelry! http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/delicious-french-cut-and-oec-diamond-earrings-t171368.html

Hi all I decide to treat myself to some preset diamond studs. I couldn't decide between the Whiteflash bezel set or the W-prong. So i got both!! i decided on 0.75 tcw YG bezel and 0.5 tcw YG W-prong. I dealt with Traci at WF and she was brilliant!. My earrings were made within a week and shipped out to me. Less than a week later i have them!! And i am rapt. Now these are my first real diamond studs. I have a couple of pairs of small champagne studs but nothing like these. And they are huge!!! Well at least to my eyes they are. I am impressed with the quality with them. I am not an expert, but to me, they are great http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/my-whiteflash-preset-studs-t171803.html
