Back in Feb. My hubby gave me the ok to purchase a new stone for my e-ring. This wasn't so much of an ugrade but we did it because my original stone was..well.. ugly. He bought it without knowing anything about diamonds and there was a large inclusion that drove me crazy. The original stone is now with my sister that she had set into a pendant.

New stone was purchased through Whiteflash.
It's a GIA EX,EX, EX: 2.52ct, G, VS2- totally eye clean.

I also found this interesting for anyone considering a lower color stone.

G stone before being set and my K pendant are side by side (as close as i could get) and i thought it was interesting to compare the colors this way. The K is 1.04 ct H&A purchased from GOG. In most lightening conditions I can''t see the color at all. This pic was taken midday facing north. I can''t see any warmth at all.

I''m usually not a fan of bezel settings, but with that diamond how could I not fall in love with it?! It''s fantaculicious! Possibly you should ditch your husband, move in with me, and we could share jewelry?

omg. it''s STUNNING. i absolutely love it. i never thought i was much of a bezel fan, but recently i saw a ring similar to yours, but much much smaller, in person and i absolutely fell in love with it. so, i can imagine yours is an absolute stunner in person! i love how low it sits. and oh!! it''s so lovely with your bands!

Its absolutely amazing. I wondered what that setting looked like on the finger and now I know. Its gorgeous. :) Enjoy.. its absolutely classic.

Ellen, Purrfect- I doubt I''ll ever change the setting even in my moments of weakness- which happen to be many here on PS

. But yea, I''ve been coveting this Sholdt for at least 3 years and am esctatc with the way it turned out. While I love pave and halos, my style wouldn''t let me pull it off.
Modern, sleek and minimal all the way for me baby!!

I usually like antique style rings but yours could convert me to modern! Beautiful!

Skippy, I posted some pics in RockyTalky when Blondie paged me. She was having her jeweler make her a ring based on the Sholdt design. Hers turned out great too! I''d dying to get some fire shots but it''s such a pain here. No backyard in NYC, and so far, hubbie''s been refusing to take nonchalant pics of my hand in the midst of thousands of people. Must further train hubby!
